corsa b running badly advice needed.
Discussion
Hi,ive got a corsa B 1.2 16v and yesterday it has started misfiring and sounds like its only running on 3 cylinders. It struggles to accelerate in any gear and shudders and judders aswell as makes a flapping sort of sound. The only way ive found to clear it is give it a 90mmoph drive down the mway but it does still come back.
Any advice on what it could be?

Only the 1.0 was a 3 cylinder. I would try a coil pack first as Vauxhall's do tend to have an appetite for them. When was it last serviced? If you know a local garage I would see if they can put it on an OBD scanner most places have them even Joe bloggs down the road should have a £40 Ebay jobbie which will be more than adequate to find faults on what is a basic car which does not even have canbus.

Have you confirmed it's actually got more than 3 cylinders?.....
Think the 1.2 16v is a 4 potIf the 1.2 Ecotec is anything like the 1.6, the coil pack is a common fault.
On the 1.6, you remove a cover on the rocker cover, undo two bolts and withdraw the whole unit from the spark plugs. It's a simple task.

No engine management lights on but then not a lot of things work on the dash...
I would not keep driving it if it has a definite missfire. You will get borewash and this will lead to all sorts of problems. No engine management lights on but then not a lot of things work on the dash...
