And someone seems to have pinched the grilles from the front of the car, making it look a right mess.Devil2575 said:

Well I guess old age comes to us all eh...
... when one's tastes mature. However, I do appreciate that it cannot be seen when one is inside it and enjoying what the car does do, and extremely beautifully!
I'm reasonably lucky in that I've only ever had minimal damage caused by the great unwashed, but like many of you I'm fussy where I park.
My local supermarket has for reasons best known to themselves created a space among some trees. Only big enough for one car, its often empty as you need to reverse in neatly, rather than just swing in to a space and jam the brakes on. Its also some distance from the door, which puts people off.
If I have to go in to town there is one corner of the multistorey where the spaces are huge - you could have the doors on one car wide open and still be nowhere near contacting the car next to it. By chance, its is just about as far from the shops as you can get, so I've never failed to get space there when I've needed one.
When I changed cars I used one of the few "extra wide" spaces in the car park, even though we all take care.
Generally when parking I try to find a spot next to a kerb or wall, allowing me to park hard up against that, leaving lots of space between my car and the one next to it.
Of course, all this was rendered utterly pointless when some dozy tt pulled out from the side of the road (off double yellows) straight in to the path of my 17 day old car.. that has caused rather more damage than a door ding and its some way from being sorted out yet

I do that but the numpties just park nearer on the other side!

Sorry to hear that - hope it gets sorted soon.(
Had a new take on this last week - driving my 2002 E46 down the road I live in some borderline obese 5/6 year old of dubious parentage(!) chucks a stone at my car as I drive by then legs it into the house. I do that but the numpties just park nearer on the other side!

Luckily it hits a window and it doesn't break so I stop and push the door bell, but the brainless lard-a**e that eventually opens the door explains the bell doesn't work (doubt she ever has either but that is a different topic!).
I tell her what happened and the response is "oh, right" and I can tell she knows which inbred retard is the likely culprit but that is as far as I get!
Then when I get home I realise if the window had been open I might have been a bit less fortunate, but what can you do?
Especially as that house is on a corner where her current "significant other" parks a pick-up half on the pavement every night.
I suppose I need to move really - just glad I wasn't in the Z4.
Buy to let may be great for those who buy, but it is miserable for all who live in the area where they let!
I'm starting to see why they have gated developments in so many places - hopefully p****s aren't admitted!
This was a strange experience, and a little different to the dings/scrapes stories, but a few weeks ago I dropped into a KFC with the kids (so this is probably all my fault, I should've known better). Anyway we're parked up in the car park, in the best space I could find at the end of a row, and this piece of st Mondeo covered in dents and scrapes parks up next to me. In the car was a pair of toothless tracksuited scuzzers with 2 equally minging kids of about 8 or 9 years old in the back. As we're eating our food, every now and again I'd become aware that the 2 parents were looking across at me. Ignoring them, I just carried on eating my food with my kids. After a while this family decide to leave and reverse out of the parking space, and as they go past the front of my car they stopped, opened all of their windows and threw a load of chips / leftovers at my car, encouraging their kids to do the same. At this point my car was descended upon by seagulls fighting for the food, and covering my car in tonnes of bird st whilst they sat there laughing. s.
This actually sounds quite funny reading it back, but I was fking livid, especially as I'd only just washed the car too. I could hardly get out and have a go at them as I had my kids with me, and I didn't want to get covered in st. Theres no hope for those kids being parented by those s.

I was working from home this morning and heard a scrape outside, I just knew what it was going to be. By the time I got to the window I could see a blue car pulling off from in front of the Scooby. One of the fking mouth breathing mothers from the local primary has managed to scrape my front bumper whilst trying to manoeuvre her fking 7 seat stbox of a fking car, probably while scoffing on a Peters pie, the fat benefit claiming ugly twunt.
The worst bit wasn't her driving off after knowing she had done it, it was the other parents who I spoke to afterwards who couldn't see what my problem was. Comments like:
"that's what bumpers are for aren't they?"
"it's only a scratch"
"it's a 10 year old car, don't worry about it"
Spent 4 hours cleaning it yesterday too. Must invest in that double garage sooner rather than later I think.
