The ugliest 'new' car on sale today? No, it's not Korean...

I'm struggling to think of a car on sale today that's more gopping and disproportioned.
Which bits are not proportioned well? I think the grill is too big but that's the same for most Audis and indeed a lot of other manufacturers now. I think the proportions look bad on a lot of cars these days due to the constraints of safety directives?Crush said:
I detest the bland Audi lineup due to the boring design, but I don't think it looks that hideous compared to the likes of the BMW SUVs
+1 and including the new Merc that looks like a X6 with warts.Subjective and in the eyes of the beholder I guess, but I've never got over how BMW have persisted with the 1 series. It's utterly ugly in terms of how BMW's used to look (IMHO of course). Talking of Hyundai, the 1 series looks more like one of those after an accident!

For me it looks as if they've started with an SUV design and tweeked it in a [failed] attempt to make it look as 'car like' as possible, rather than make the SUV look like an SUV.The rear shot reminds me of the Gen 1 X5, stupidly tall and thin (looks like it could fall over if you gave it a push!), rather than stocky and wide. The side profile has a low roof line, but the door panels are huge in height, which then flows along the side of the car dwarfing the wheels in huge arches. The front grille size and frame dimensions are ludicrously gopping.
Perhaps this is the future of SUV's, and it might grow on me. But right now it sits bottom of the pile.
