Agree with 31mph, delve into the forums a bit more, taken one of the mega miles cars for a spin, say how it has weathered over time, drive a barge, etc!

I think it is going well, thank you!

Instead of just blipping the throttle going down the gears, if you are fast enough you could double clutch it - if you are fast enough!

That's painful ... someone obviously didn't do acting classes at school did they?

Harry's Garage is free and he manages to be insightful and interesting. I guess if you've got it, you've got it.

PHTV is eye shatteringly bad. Please stop.

I would rather watch guys who are not great presenters but who really know about cars than polished presenters who pretend to be car people but don't really get it.

Keep up the good work.

This is True Mr Shoddy I hope we can be friends as my profile says I am Billy no mates which I feel is hurtful and unrepresentative of me as a whole!

Yoicks, tough crowd!

In all seriousness we are taking it all on board and endeavouring to keep making it better. Indeed this comment...

e.g.. Dan has a fabulous subversive humour in the written word, that really doesn't come across.
As for " it's free, be grateful" - I'd rather have nothing at all. I actually think it's bad enough to be damaging.....
...contains within one of the nicest compliments I think I've ever been paid so thanks for that. It also provides suitable inspiration to bring the stuff on screen up to a similar standard. I've had more practice at the written word bit though so bear with me!

As for the quality of the user videos, well, there's a simple answer to that one - get out there and film something! Doesn't need to be an exotic location or car and you don't need a crew, a drone or a fancy camera. Just a bit of imagination and a good hook - think of some of the great YouTube stuff over the years like that bloke with the diesel AX going for his 10-minute 'ring lap or whatever. OK, so that took years, several engines and gearboxes and some epic determination. But you know what I mean!

We'll keep working to make our stuff better but we know there are some talented folk out there with some interesting cars and stories to tell about them. Don't be shy - PHTV gives you a platform!

Cheers,

Dan

Mr Dan in Japan you would be given the title of "menmoku" meaning you have honour and Dignity!

Why?? I'd rather watch guys who are who are genuine car nuts AND present well. There are a number of examples out there.

I expect those exact words WEREN'T being uttered as Dan + Co-driver sat hanging from their belts in that accidentally-shiny-side-down Defender last week....... ;-)

I'm really struggling with PistonHeads of late, the adverts everywhere has just gone too far and now this TV thing, it's not really cutting it. I like progress but this is not it.

I do too and watch it every week and I like James and Dan presenting and I know for sure if it was me in front of the camera I would certainly make a pigs ear of it, I genuinely can see them settling into the job really well and improving.

You do realise it would actually take less time to go and download ad block software than to write a post moaning about adverts?

I would love to do this but unfortunately my work pc does not allow it, for some reason they don't trust us ha-ha. The video add before the episode is a tad annoying while I'm in the mood for a moan up!

For some inexplicable reason when watching these there is a terse German accented voice in my head that says "Vooden und contrived".

I looked this up on google translate and it has no meaning, unless their is an error in your spelling.

Fair enough ha. I don't think I could handle the Internet without ad block these days.

You're either a funny man - or have no sense of irony (or indeed a spell checker!).

Have a good weekend.
