She drives an A3.

Dinner at a Michelin restaurant (three-course set lunch with matching wine pairing for two people and service would have only been £125) with the drinks bill of a millionaire is not appropriate.

Looks like her chavvy greed is backfiring though, as she's deleted all her social media profiles.

And was she so stupid as to leak this to the media? If it was the garage that did it, that's not on, but if she did it herself, it shows how thick she is.....
You drive an 8 year old Lexus, so what?

My local Audi garage was so utterly feckless it pretty much put me off the brand. Any paint on any car is annoying, if, like me, you are not OCD about your car it wont matter, but I can assure you others are not quite as forgiving. Since when was it fking acceptable for the a garage which you are paying for a service to damage your car? In this case they shouldn't have entered into an open agreement, the process should have been call the owner, fix the paint and offer the service and/or MOT free, end of discussion. This publicity makes them and the car owner look bad.

I had a garage leave my sump plug loose once, they didn't offer anything....until Head Office got in touch with them wink

So every car you've owned in the past has never had any paint repairs carried out?

My partner and I dine out regularly, usually once or twice a week. Depending on where we go, our bill can range from £45 to £85. We're not Michelin star people, a good steak, or burger and chips is what we like.

I think to dine out on someone else's generosity and take the piss like this is totally outrageous. If I were Audi I would have given her £100 and told her to do one.

Audi are in the business of Motor Vehicles, not food/restaurants, they should have offered her something vehicle related were they could have controlled all the costs.

I agree she took the p!ss, and now comes across as a drunkard!

Not that I'd do the same - I'd have been happy with a bacon sarnie and a cup of builder's tea - but it did give me a chuckle when I think of the piss take prices that main dealers charge along with their own propensity to land huge unexpected bills on people. Nice to hear about someone having as much of a brass neck as the main dealers do - Taste of their own medicine methinks. They should pay up in full, put it down to experience and make sure they specify a limit in future.
What Limit in the future? I'm pretty sure that they probably wont be offering such good will ever again. I wouldn't have thought the free meal was compensation, but rather a good will gesture for any inconvenience caused.

They've probably offered something similar previously, but without people taking the mickey. As always, one person to ruin it for everyone.

I'd say fix and keep you mobile with an equivalent car.
This yes And maybe a free service. A meal for 2 does not include 2 bottles of wine, 4 glasses of champagne etc etc. She's taking the piss and £357 is more than generous!

Woman has just been on radio 3 Counties, or whatever it's called, she couldn't even remember what some of the drinks were!!

Seems the listeners were 50 50 over who was wrong, she's also moaning that reporters are in her front garden.

Watford Audi, the dealer, has said they will pay no more than half & are backed up by Audi UK & for some reason the restaurant has invited here back for free cocktails.

Shows presenter has said that she could take dealer to court because the offer from dealer didn't set a price for the meal.

She has said she does not know what to do & has been told about various mediation services that may help.

The listeners seem to now be judge & jury. I have to go out so won't hear their comments.

I think we all agree that Ms Yap was greedy and taking advantage of the situation (taking the piss).
What about the restaurant? 13% service charge £82.21 !!! that`s also taking the piss. When you dine at these places you expect top class service from professionals, its their job. I know most restaurants do this and there may be small print somewhere saying "discretionary",its still a bit of a "Ms Yap".
Emagine after taking your car to an Audi Dealer for a service and find they have added 13% service charge to the bill.
"that`s the tip for the mechanic sir".

lol good on her!

Bit harsh everyone calling her a chav or bint

Audi should have specified a limit, they didn't so she pushed the boat out

They should have repaired the car, stuck some flowers in it and a £50 Pizza Express voucher... Bit naïve of them to piss around with vague offers..

Not really, this is the type of thing a classless poor person would do.

That's a bit unfair. What have Chav's and Bint's done to be associated with the likes of her? Poor Chavs.

Its more annoying that you refer to the waiting staff as a "server". Unless you are a Septic.

Audi and this woman deserve each other, perhaps they should offer her a job in sales.

quality quote there!

I am dumb-founded that this woman thinks she is in the right. Yes Audi may well be a bunch of rip-off merchants, however this does not excuse her lack of class/character whatever, it just shows her to be a money grubbing, 'me me me' chav.

Lived there for years and find myself struggling to think of 'English' terms and words as forums are one of the few places where I still use the language.

Still fk the fkers, if I want to tip I'll do it direct and likely more than 13 fking percent.
