Second owners of them are likely to be the modders, I'd guess?
I can't imagine many people who buy into the V8 product and all its history etc will be able to resist 'improving' their car for long. As you say maybe a legal contract is all that will stop them.
I've already set up my CJ pony parts account.....and have a few bits n bobs in my basket....I can't imagine many people who buy into the V8 product and all its history etc will be able to resist 'improving' their car for long. As you say maybe a legal contract is all that will stop them.
Borla ford touring cat back, and billet oil seperator..... the supercharger will have to wait for a bit

Really, you couldn't care that they are laughing at your choice from the security of an A5 2.0 diesel, they got a premium coupe, not a humble Ford, with proper soft touch plastics that does 45 to the gallon, and you don't care

In fairness the TVR did have an LS transplant!
It still has an LS and oh how chuffed was I to discover at Shakespeare raceway that it'd leave a V12 vantage standingIn fairness the TVR did have an LS transplant!

Swapping from a Tiv to an Aston seems a popular and logical choice when you start to rattle more than your Tiv. In fairness the TVR did have an LS transplant!
I can see this Mustang appealing to the same people who like Tivs because of its bang for buck V8 and modding ability. Especially if you've become encumbered with sproggs.

Shouldn't that be the insecurity of an A5 2.0 diesel? Autocar have given it 4/5 for their first drive road test, a V8 Coupe, 3/5 for an Ecoboost convertible, nothing ground breaking from the review to report, the first comments about it, disappointingly were about interior finishes, "if you are expecting the same as Europes best you will come away disappointed".
So, are they comparing it to what, Bentley, Rolls, Royce, Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini ? or do they mean it isn't quite as posh inside as the Audi ? I drove my mother in laws C class the other day and was wondering what the fuss about germanic interior quality was, it was ok but nothing to shout about.
Other points from the review,
Gearchange is really good,
Ride is good, better than earlier examples.
Engine not as shouty as AMG Mercs and fruity Jags, which to me do seem a bit over the top these days.
Steering has been tweaked to good effect
Engine "a bit lazy" low down but wakes up and feels every bit a 4.8 Sec to 62 mph car
A Few compromises but plenty of charm, why bother with the 4 cyl, its a correct hand drive, fully warranted V8 coupe for £32,995
I think the full review will give a lot more insight, looking forward to them strapping some timing gear on, I wonder if it will be quicker than an M135i ? another 100 bhp, bit heavier, similar price ?

And then have to pay the £1100 VED out of your own pocket, immediately making it the same price, unless I missed that bit?
Isn't the VED in the OTR price ?I could be wrong, I couldn't find any particular reference to VED, but they seem to claim it's the total price you pay.

The comparison they're quoting suggests it is, i.e. a saving against £33,005. Also, they say the figure includes all costs/fees and all they're doing is introducing you to a Ford dealer.

Me neither, which is why I'd be surprised if it's included if they don't specifically mention it.I could be wrong, I couldn't find any particular reference to VED, but they seem to claim it's the total price you pay.
There's just no way anyone is going to be offering these at below list, for any reason, when there's a huge waiting list for them.

Ford will sell plenty of Mustangs in the UK and globally. They're fully geared up to produce them in vast numbers, unlike the Monaro production line in Adelaide.
Vauxhall only ever intended to import the Monaro in low numbers, it could never have been a big seller.
In the US alone, Ford is selling more than 12,000 Mustangs per month at the moment.Vauxhall only ever intended to import the Monaro in low numbers, it could never have been a big seller.
Apparently, total sales for 2015 may reach 100,000 units in the US. If anybody has projected figures for Rest of the World, that would be interesting. I'm guessing that ROTW sales will total around 10 to 15 percent of the US figure.

ETA: the discounts extend to the colours and options, too.

Long may their success continue. It'll be a sad day when this sort of car stops selling and we're left with a choice between "generobox A" and "ecobubble B". I'm increasingly finding the offerings of the European manufacturers unappealing (CLA45, TTS etc. etc.) and fear that performance cars are gradually amalgamating into the same basic recipe.Apparently, total sales for 2015 may reach 100,000 units in the US. Thanks go out to the Americans for keeping things like manual gearboxes and large-displacement N/A V8s alive.
