Thanks go out to the Americans for keeping things like manual gearboxes and large-displacement N/A V8s alive. smile
It's the second time they've got a kicking from the Japanese and finally got off their arses and joined us trying to keep the Germans and Japanese from domination. wink

The comparison they're quoting suggests it is, i.e. a saving against £33,005. Also, they say the figure includes all costs/fees and all they're doing is introducing you to a Ford dealer.

I could be wrong, I couldn't find any particular reference to VED, but they seem to claim it's the total price you pay.
Me neither, which is why I'd be surprised if it's included if they don't specifically mention it.

There's just no way anyone is going to be offering these at below list, for any reason, when there's a huge waiting list for them.
A discount does surprise me, but it may be the usual 'fleet departments/sales have greater discount authority than retail'.

ETA: the discounts extend to the colours and options, too.
I stand to be corrected of course, but I don't see Ford setting aside a few cars for companies such as Broadspeed to flog on the cheap when they themselves have 1200+ pre-orders from people who've never seen one in the flesh, willing to pay the full asking price. In fact, I reckon Ford are probably kicking themselves thinking "we could've pitched this nearer £40K", because even at that price, it's still a bargain.

But would they then sell at all? I hope they don't, still waiting to see what people think when the first proper rhd cars land.

It does seem likely that the current price may be about carving a share of the market before being able to increase margins into a more defined market?

Hi Guys, and Ladies of course,
I was in California a few years back, lucky me! Anyway the Mustang was at that time, cheaper to buy than a Focus! Parents were buying them as graduation gifts for 16yr old.
I want one of these V8 5L in Yellow!
Does Anybody know where I can get one on Mobility? It's no more expensive than any other car!
An American motorhome would be an option. As I have to drive across country and it costs too much in Hotels. So anyone know where to get them on mobility?
As my 8yr old says, it must have a lot of Horsepowers! His hero Mr J Clarksons way of talking.

Why not buy a cheaper car and then you'd have money for hotels?

Probably best not feed the troll and spoil what is quite a good thread.....

FWIW mobility mustangs are available from the same shop that sells Mobility Astons, Porsche, and Bentley

Well talk about a turn up for the books! It's actually cheaper in Australia. Cant quite believe it.

Mustang 2.3 4Cyl Turbo - $44900 - 23,000 pound
Mustang V8 - $53900 - 28,500 pound
That is impressive. Good for Oz.

Our antipodean friends have been subjected to distorted pricing and "It'll never come here" availability of product for ages.

One amusing development, however...

" No burnout mode for Aussie Mustang"

Okay it's not a big deal. Who cares, right? But still an interesting wrinkle in the increasingly global story of Mustang-ery.

My reply was about sales in Australia where the monaro name is a big deal. It still wasn't a big seller.
People raved about the Monaro in Australia, but you're correct that it didn't sell that many there. Another depressing fact is that there's not that many left based on what I saw the last 2 weeks I spent in NSW. There seemed to be more of them in Texas badged as Pontiac GTOs.

Judging by your profile you are missing an MPV, CUV, SUV, a full size SUV and a pickup truck. smile

I've been driving this round Florida for two weeks. It was the Eco Boost though. Nice car but needs the V8 soundtrack to feel like a Mustang.

Oh my! Just listen to the new Mustang GT350R run up the hill at the Goodwood FOS today. That flat crank V8 Voodoo engine is a beast!

Now that is a car. I must admit to initially being concerned that in trying to fit-in with what other - mostly European - manufacturers were doing, Ford would water-down the S550 'Stang too much. I'm so relieved to see that it appears to be in rude health.
