That's a lovely colour, very "Royal Family". The wheels are nice and subtle too. I'd have one in this colour or a green one. I'll be watching used prices with interest as I fancy changing our Disco 4 for one of these in a year or two.
I too love proper Range Rovers and will probably end up with one. In the meantime the Disco 4 has come a long way to close the gap between the Defender and FFRR and I don't feel bad getting it dirty or taking it on trips to the tip. Oh and it has a proper boot and 7 seats (not at the same time) which come in very handy.ChemicalChaos said:

Car is the same - neither have a chassis either. The Sport is the same width but considerably shorter. It also has less head-room in the back. But, as often said, probably beats the FullFat in terms of being an all-round car for the money.
And then there is the SVR!
The current sport is actually bigger than the perevious generation Full Fat RR - I know, because my neighbour parked his sport next to mine! Given that my FF sint exactly small, it makes we wonder how massive the new one is.And then there is the SVR!
Personally, I think the current RR is far too "Cheshire", in chasing after the taste-bereft new money they have lost some of the fantastically understated and regal image that all RRs used to have.
My FFRR is the last of the prefacelift, ie pre-bling, 3rd gen and in my mind this is the last of the truly tasteful models that says" landed gentry" not "rap artist". I don't think I'd ever get a newer one.
You sound like a proper tosser

Yet the reliability of this brand is also becoming something of a legend.
That's brilliant A real testimony to the power of branding and image.

Land Rover, who wants you to spend $135,000 for a Range Rover Supercharged Autobiography Portfolio Westminster Humidor Aardvark, will treat you the same as Chevrolet, who sells the Spark for $13,000, and Chrysler, who would finance a stray dog as long as it doesn't pee in the showroom.

Maybe... but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't find a balanced political mix across new FFRR owners.
Maybe not Green or Labour, but you'll find plenty of Lib Dems, Tories and Kippers in Rangies, as well as those of no particular persuasion.Devil2575 said:
I said that 99.99% of people who buy them don't use them for the purpose descibed by RoverP6B. Most of them are used in an urban environment for which they are somewhat unsuited, IMHO.
Last time I drove in London, in an E39 5-series, was bloody terrifying - potholes big enough to swallow half the car and unable to see over or round buses, lorries or street furniture. A big SUV with big wheels, reasonably deep tyre sidewalls and soft, long-travel suspension, plus a big torquey engine (not to mention comfy seats, aircon, a modern many-ratio'd autobox and satnav) sounds absolutely perfect for bumbling about in the city to me.RoverP6B said:

Really? Last time I drove round London I managed just fine in a car.beatsman6 said:
That looks lovely (although be prepared for the 'footballer' comments as its white)Saw a brand new black one today with those wheels in nottingham just outside my uni dropping a blonde girl off.... the driver looked younger than me (brunette) young woman/lady. Barely looked 20 years old (I'm 21) and she was driving a brand new range rover - some people just get lucky? :P
