I'm in 2 minds about whether or not to post it, in case I get beaten to it by someone who then wants a fortune for it
Don'tBut not for that reason
I'd just walk away from the thread now & take its lessons with you
If you are scratching your chin at what they are, then, well...

I live in West Berkshire, home to many rich people (landed gentry) who drive Range Rovers, and they are almost always pre-2006, with the original plates.
If you want to make people think you're a wealthy person from a posh place, then leave your number plates on.
Rich people just don't care, as long it's comfortable and gets them from A to B via any route of their choice ranging from motorways to bouncing across fields (doesn't matter, as the land either belongs to them or their friends) then the car's age is irrelevant.
And anyway, I personally think Range Rovers always look more classy with their original plates rather than private plates.
I think private plates are a bit naff unless they're related to the car, or actually a little bit rude.
My private number plates (if I ever got them) would have to be P155 OFF, or A4 RON (my name)
..........Quite right. I know someone who owns Eight Kensington/Knightsbridge period townhouses outright, and drives he's trusty 71 Rover 3.5 complete with rusty panels. Really rich people don't have to show it, and a mere car is neither here nor there.....Insignificant.If you want to make people think you're a wealthy person from a posh place, then leave your number plates on.

I don't know who 'Chemical Chaos' is, but the way some of you guys are behaving towards him is tantamount to a pack of feral dogs. Its not nice. Show some restraint please; we're adults, it's not a school playground.
Oh but they just have to show that they're achingly cool - how else is everyone to know? The funny thing is that some of the respondents show themselves up much more than they claim the OP has. It's also interesting to note that those with the most crass opinions re. personalised plates are usually the ones against them.daytona365 said:

Guess what's her daily driver?
Nope, not a Range Rover, or a nice VW Golf or anything sensible, it's a complete rat-heap of a car (no idea of make/model) which comes with a large hole in the driver's seat.
I still aspire to be so rich I just lose all ability to want to flaunt my wealth.

That's rubbish. If he really didn't care, he's drive a black A4 like everyone else...ChemicalChaos said:
Because I want one. What the hell has my car choice got to do with you? Do I tell you what to drive? And what the hell do you know about my life, hobbies, work commute and other pursuits that leads you to determine whether my car is "appropriate"? What would you deem as appropriate? A knackered old Corsa perhaps? I'm 23, I've been driving for 6 years now and I'll drive whatever the fk I want, so wind your fking neck in
Because this is an internet discussion forum, you see.How it works is - people post on here a certain situation and ask other people what they think they should do.
It's quite a simple concept to grasp, really.
