What can one say................... I am surprised nobody didn't just shove him out of the way.

One of the side videos from that clip is a video with a biker punishing a Juke driver with an angle grinder! We all carry a spare angle grinder don't we? biggrin

Mark, I just love the bus lanes in Aberdeen, nothing better than having Union St to yourself. Incidentally I queried with the council about those signs at junctions which allow cars to filter left to turn left, and the sign indicating ahead is for buses only, they confirmed in writing they do not apply when the bus lane is not in operation.

Obvious really, but I like so things in writing.

I might have done that a few times down the Lang Stracht already... but as you say good to get it in writing thumbupsmile

Quite possibly the biggest prick I have ever seen in a video. How sad that he expects absolute perfection on every turn from such a large vehicle.

Quite. Moped dispatch riders aren't renowned for their roadcraft either... Pathetic.

Addison Lee car is half in the asl box by the looks of it so mopeds well forward of any stop line otherwise the bus would have been fine I guess even with the wider line, why he had to take such exception to scooting back a bit..... bad day? needless argument and he looked close to getting lynched!

he moved the scooter forward to let the first bus passed: which explains why so far forward.

no Idea why he didn't move though, or why the bus didn't just go passed. there was plenty of room with a bus's turning circle to get passed.

>>also want to know what as meant by the interior light.

Police "going to get their boss to discipline them". What a cop out! (See what I did there?).

Was it not an RTA when handbrake was left off?

A long time ago (nearly 20 years! frown) my driving instructor gave me some very sage advice, advice that I still believe in to this day. If a bus or truck is trying to cut you up, LET IT. You will come off worst!

That's just common sense. Don't get into an argument with something/one much bigger than you. You will always be the loser, and in hospital.
You'll be in a coffin, but at least you were right.

Couldn't make out what set them off. Apart from being natural idiots.

I'm sorry but getting out of your van and leaving the handbrake off enough to roll into a truck while angry deserves something a little more than a ticking off.

I guess "something" happened on a previous roundabout as those are a bit tight for three lanes with a HGV/coach trying to negotiate them.
To get out and cause an RTA - careless driving? - though no doubt the police say it's an insurance job.
For the guy to later throw a bottle is just bang out of order. The incident was over, absolutely no need.

You may feel its ok to pull out on folk but it really isn't, and I didn't speed up but slowed down to his speed.
If we are talking about the vid you posted back on page 67 - the speed indication on the camera showed that you accelerated from 38mph at 11 seconds in when the silver car was seen to begin their manoeuvre up to a speed of 44mph at 15 seconds in - just before you came up behind the vehicle that had pulled out.

I wonder if you had continued at 38mph instead of accelerating, whether the vehicle that pulled out would have caused you quite so much of an issue.

Of course - we can't now verify that because the video has been mysteriously taken down.

Nothing says "confidence in my own driving" more than

hehe

It kicked off at the beginning of the vid.
The lorry is straddling 2 lanes to give himself more room on the roundabout and the lads in the van squeeze through.
I wonder if a horn was tooted or something similar.
