Could've been their first time attempting a bay park in a car other than a Corsa, and the Mini Countryman is a fat lump so I don't blame the driver for having difficulty, especially if they've only ever driven a Corsa or some small two-door hatchback.

Oh yeah, and those people on the yellow hatchings don't help at all.

But P plates? Thought they were L plates?

They might be, video resolution wasn't great. Or did you mean you weren't aware of P plates? If so they're a sort of 'just passed' thing I think. Don't think they're compulsory.

If an overtake is safe, it's safe. Is there a rule that you cannot overtake emergency vehicles, though? I think there might be.

If so, then hanging back would be the right thing to do. If not, indicate to overtake at an appropriate moment and get passed quickly. Using the hard shoulder was moronic.

Caught this yesterday, Ambulance driving at 20 mph carefully avoiding any bumps in the road, there's obviously someone in the back in a bad way.
The HGV driver should be getting a letter.
And the Red Hatchback.

... but wtf is the Ambulance straddling both lanes and wandering all over.

The dashcam car needs a new windscreen, that crack is definitely illegally large.

Police "going to get their boss to discipline them". What a cop out! (See what I did there?).

Was it not an RTA when handbrake was left off?
Couldn't make out what set them off. Apart from being natural idiots.

smile
I'm sorry but getting out of your van and leaving the handbrake off enough to roll into a truck while angry deserves something a little more than a ticking off.
Erm..... Wow! eek I'm assuming that was a company vehicle? If so, I'd be having those three in the office sharpish for a massive bking and a dishing out of P45's.
I'm not surprised Plod aren't interested (surely it's DWDCAA or something similar?) as I've tried to report two cases of dangerous driving lately and been made to feel like I'm massively inconveniencing them. Apparently investigating house burglaries are now deemed to be beneath them, too.rolleyes

It's not a crack, i made a balls of the camera position, the "crack" is at the upper most point of the passengers side wiper sweep and is water or a water mark.

After the lorry, the black audi and the peugeot overtook, the ambulance driver waved a hand out his window a couple of times to ask not to overtake (not that i was going to anyway) from then, my car and the red civic stayed level to act as a rolling block. i dont think the camera picked it up? I must check the next bit of footage to see if it caught the near accidents on the next bit of road, plenty of horn honking (and my wife calling people stupid fkers) but the mike is turned off smile

Not sure there is anything particularly obvious about this video at all ambulance seems to be being driven fairly erratically, maybe with good reason maybe not, but the only thing that is clear is the driver filming is a complete tool for remaining in the outside lane without any intention to over take.

What possible advantage is there to the ambulance in stopping people from overtaking on a dual carriageway? Are you sure he wasn't waving you past hehe

Surely the best place to drive would be the hard shoulder, less chance of pot holes lorry ruts and crap repair jobs.

More chance of puncture though.

Interesting manoeuvre last night:

http://youtu.be/_MKHfzW8Jow

Judging by the hazards I guess the Audi was expecting to be able to use either lane. Useful smokescreen for a sneaky getaway though!

Only old ones like that. It's getting a much rarer sight now. Usually buses are the worst culprit these days!

Can be caused by an air leak on the intake or for protracted low speed running and then a burst of full power, which looks the case on this one.

No, I'm aware of P plates, I passed my test in Feb and instructor told me about them. They're not compulsory, and I don't use them as I notice other drivers seem to be more aggressive towards me when I have them on. My sister picked up on the same thing and she passed like 2 years ago.

Not now, thanks to DPFs and things like that. That Audi in the video looked like a 2004/2005 model which is before DPFs.

Audi could easily have just dropped in behind the other car. No need at all to risk a collision!
