Unsure what's worse, the driving or the "music".

Yep, that's exactly what I meant. It's for people to post up clips from their own dashcams that they want to share rather than cluttering up the dashcam thread with them.
Maybe I'm alone here, but I'm in favour of this new thread. cool

For me, this kind of thing is all about training and experience. One good established way of becoming a better driver is by lots of experience (that's why new drivers crash more than more experienced ones) and this thread is a way of speeding up the learning process.

Even a red-light runner reminds you to look for those on the opposing roads when you've just turned green.

The lane-changer one (just above) shows that they wanted to pull out because lane 1 goes somewhere else, and people in that situation will pull out without full regards to what's behind.

Typical! I see that all the time. As far as I can see the only reason for both those cars to pull out was to piss the van-driver off!
Looks like the left hand lane is only for the next junction so it makes sense that they are moving to the right but doing so blindfolded feels like a risk.
Correct. However there's about half a mile to do it.

The biker's a twonk, coming up the inside of the truck where the car couldn't see him he should have been prepared for the car to do the sensible thing of pulling back in after overtaking the lorry.

Seen plenty of that when I used to live around the area, the traffic lights just by the police station a bit before (turning left to go to Sutton station) are where the mongfest tends to start.

Several years ago a guy was killed when a car hit him at pretty much the exact same spot where you got squeezed in your video. I saw the aftermath of it having just got on a 413 home from school.

He should have been a little more cautious, but all the same, the driver should have looked before crossing lanes, that's just the done thing. Anyone who uses that stretch of the A1 knows vehicles join from the Kingston Park roundabout and are often considerably faster than the lorries plodding along on the main carriageway, and can often be concealed from sight as they travel on the sliproad. Therefore, it's entirely necessary to always be looking around on that stretch to make sure you don't endanger someone like the idiot driver in this clip does.

Sure, the biker could have mitigated the possible impact of her stupidity by hanging back and waiting to see what she did, and I certainly would have done so. However, the driver has a duty to make observations and to consider more vulnerable and faster road users, and just because she has overtaken a lorry, does not give her ownership of the lane to her nearside. She should have looked, and canned her manoeuvre because it was unsafe.

My take is the bike had carefully positioned himself in her blind spot and was about to perform an undertake. If he'd noted where she was and pulled out behind her the next ten minutes of language wouldnt have followed

If you can take it, it's worth a listen rofl

It was lucky for all concerned that the Fiesta driver was on the ball. If he'd have been fiddling with his phone or something the outcome would've been a lot different.

Somehow in this video situation I had a suspicion I shouldn't go past this small truck on its left, whether legal or not. Maybe the biker in the previous posts should have had the same hesitation....
This truck should have been in the left hand lane after the yellow box junction.

YouTube has compressed the quality again, but there's a small prize of a smiley for the correct make/model of the wreck on the back of the truck ... idea

So is this going to turn in to a dashcam wker thread ?

If so, I have a nomination: https://youtu.be/_0iODbJik3E

Be warned, language is absolutely terrible, so definitely NSFW or if little people are around.

Oh and wait for the end hehe

I think it was the case that the van joining the motorway wanted to get by the Citroen and so wrongly moved into the middle lane without giving any thought for the approaching vehicle. It looks like the Citroen didn't want to let him by that easily and was set on moving into the middle lane to stop him from doing so.
