My opinion, poster was just moving along, priority goes to outside lane ie any traffic wanting to change lane should wait for a gap in this situation as not queueing i think merge rule doesn't apply. Very judgemental my next thought ladder on roof probably labouring dhead who bullies his way around (as demonstrated by brake testing his ignorance got him what he wanted why be more of a wker) too impatient for waiting probably parks in the same ignorant fashion.
But this is precisely the attitude that leads to problems on the road - "I have priority, so you'll have to brake to a stop and wait ages for a gap", rather than just easing off for one second to let someone pull across. A very minor inconvenience to avoid someone getting stuck. A bit of courtesy would go a long way these days!Terminator X said:

Assuming you find people pulling out onto roundabouts in front of other people, who have to take evasive action to avoid a crash, funny. Then yes. It's probably hilarious.
Evasive action as in you had to slow down a bit and let someone out? A tad dramatic to say the least.
This stuff goes on everywhere, everyday. Its just modern driving. The vast majority of people don't feel the need to video it, then edit the video, then put it online and then open a discussion about it.
TX.
If you're talking about another video then my apologies
There seems to be a theme amongst at least 4 of the videos posted so far - lanes on roundabouts, or just before / just after the roundabout. For advanced driving I say: don't assume anyone else won't change lanes; and stay alongside a gap, not alongside another vehicle.
Another theme emerging is the tolerance of others' mistakes (or lack of tolerance). Ok, we don't know if they're mistakes or a deliberate effort to gain a few milliseconds, but if you act the same then sooner or later you'll be sharing the same car-sized space on the road.

The Passat got ahead of you before the exit at McDonalds, I hope I would have avoided trying to stay alongside him.https://youtu.be/8MjSK27tDv4

He didn't annoy me generally. It's the brake check that's the issue and the bus lane is open of course with cars actually ahead of him so he didn't really need to cut in. If it wasn't for the brake check I'd not have bothered. Just saw the thread so grabbed the card out the camera to see if how I remembered it actually happened. Good to read folks opinions though.
From this morning on the M8 going to work, proper WTF moment.

I am tempted to say that you stayed out in L2 when not really making ground on the overtakees, but (on reflection), I think your driving was faultless.
Swearing was quite good. Heard better.

Did he/she just think "Oh that looks like a slow car, I need to overtake".
Unaware it has just passed them and continues to accelerate away
Did you look over and show some coffee beans?

Genuinely no idea what that Civic was doing, seemed to think because a car was in front they must overtake, despite the car in front having just overtook and pulling away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZgXJ2Q3iJI

As I was passing he (businessman in a suit) kept pointing at defender, you could see him slow down to let her in. He was definitely pissed and I think he was so focused on the landy that he never saw me at all.Did he/she just think "Oh that looks like a slow car, I need to overtake".

The only thing I can think of is the Defender pulled back in a wee bit soon and pissed him off, or they were dualing before I got to them.KAgantua said:

Yes I usually do but the way the M8 works in the morning is if you use L2 as a normal overtaking lane and go back into L1, you lose your place in L2 overtaking all the slow cars. Dont know what that other car was up to. drugs?
There is an element of that on some motorways - the tools in L3 create the problem of the overtaking dawdler by never letting others into L3 to overtake and then slot back across. It's self-aggravating: the L3 hog stop the very thing that they should want to encourage (appropriate lane discipline from other overtakers) in order to speed up L3.
That said, if you indicate early and make clear that you are moving into the overtaking lane whether or not the douche likes it, people usually ease off to let you over (rather than waiting until you move and then braking, pretending to be surprised and getting angry). Obviously you have to judge the closing speed so that you don't actually cause someone to brake.
