Admire him - why? He's a confrontational, self-righteous fool. Agree with you about the likely outcome if he carries on like this regularly. I'd be amazed if he doesn't get a battering one day. No-one in their right mind goes after 2 big blokes in a truck.

I think that's a myth - they are required to give it when asked (assuming they're in uniform) tho - not that he needed it as he's got the plate of the car and the owner (the Met) is legally obliged to dob-in the driver ;0

End of day, it's not that cyclists job to police the roads. If the cyclist thinks the copper's driving was below-par (and I'd say it was) then take the video to a Police Station and file a complaint . If they do nothing about it, send it to the press and shame them for not doing their job.

DON'T chase-down drivers to tell them off - don't care how 'right' you think you are, it's not your job - this applies to pretty-much everyone.

Dashcams/Helmet cams are useful tools but some people are going to end-up getting hurt simply because the cam 'increased their sense of right' and that's not the idea.

To be honest, I'm struggling to think if there's a bigger anywhere on the internet?

I'm pretty sure he's a thoroughly unpleasant gobste in every other aspects of his life and probably fancies himself as a bit of a hardman.
Thing is, I wonder what would happen if someone caught him slagging them off about their driving and confronted him?

In other news, a lack of rearward dashcam (something I've hitherto not really considered as vital - esp with dogs in the back to eat it!) means I cannot show you a video of the following event.

A1 Western Bypass - mid afternoon - inside lane doing 60.

Fiat Van (Transit+ sized) comes STEAMING up behind me. Nothing in the outside lane at all but this asshole comes so close I can't see plate or badge - he's within a couple of feet at 60mph.

He then backs-off a bit - and then SURGES forward again - it's at this point I note the occupants.

Driver - mid-20s guy in painter gear (white cap/overalls)
Middle seat - girl somewhere between 5-8 years old - no visible belt (perhaps a lap?)
Passenger Seat - woman HOLDING A BABY - belt hanging on it's hook

So this guy is playing "let's see how close we can get eh?" with his family in the van and no-one thinks belts/booster seats/child seats are a good idea!!!

I've never seen someone this stupid - I've been in ACTUAL accidents which gave me less of a panic rush. After 3/4 'surges' I noticed a car coming-up in the outside lane approaching him, so I indicated and ducked-out at the point he couldn't follow me.

Last I saw, he'd started doing the same to the white can which had been ahead of me!!

Rear facing dashcam on the Xmas list then (yes I got the plate, no I don't see the point of reporting it)
