Don't worry though everyone, all of these accidents and near misses will be solved by putting speed cameras everywhere!

Seriously though, very few of these are down to speed, they're because of terrible, terrible driving - none of which will be solved by yet more cameras...

Yes, you have to wonder what the hell people are doing if they didn't notice the oncoming headlights for that long, especially with space to move into to the right.

I also agree on the subsequent one looking like a fatality. The ridiculous thing is that most of the videos posted are so easily-avoidable. When it comes to the Russian vids, it seems people just aren't paying attention and/or driving far too fast for the conditions. It's also a scary reminder of just how badly built older cars are; most of the Ladas on these videos crumple like tin foil.

Staggering, a full 8 seconds to avoid it and the driver still does nothing.

I think the judder was the driver tapping his camera to signal "look I'm recording you".

Classic example of long lines of cyclists and country roads....we have "time races" on the ones round here mixed with VERY large quarry trucks...... it can be impossible to pass, add in the speed helmets preventing rear vision, wobble handlebars and the habit of two abreast....Deaths will happen soon 100%

That one with the corsa spinning out was because he thought there was another lane on his left and drove up onto the verge

The first clip; is the driver of the dashcam car swearing and losing it because of what the VW Camper has done because as as far as I can tell the Camper was totally in the right as it was ahead and in its lane, the dashcam car hadn't read the signs and road properly, or is he moaning about the cones suddenly being there?

That clip has already been discussed but if you seriously don't think the Camper Van was in the wrong, you shouldn't be on the roads.

That took a few goes for me, if you look closely there are temporary lane markers. Keep an eye on what the mobile home thing does in the left lane as that then moves over into what would usually be the hard shoulder. Camper just blindly stayed in the lane ignoring the temporary markers.
It looks like a bad merge on the camera cars part but really the camper is drifting into another lane.
