amazing people don't stop and drive on, good on you stopping, I am guessing it was a young driver, were they uninjured?
Not injured, just in a rush.
Told the police the other car drove them off the road.
Video provided to police (turned up 2 minutes later as back down the road) and the guy got 5 points.
Which driver got 5 points?

I think it is possible that they intentionally caused the Fiesta to crash, but that would, in my opinion, mean absolutely fantastic skill from the car in front. To conduct that without being involved in the crash too, would require excellent skill.

To me it reads more like a flustered driver. Though strange they didn't stop...

As jimmy says, we'll probably never find out, unfortunately. It's certainly not worth arguing with each other though, especially by willy waving about how many years you've been driving etc. Anyway, some of the worst drivers I know could've driven to the Venus and back with the mileage they have under their belts smile

No idea what he was thinking, but it doesn't save him any time.
For anyone that whinges about ESP causing people to have bigger accidents because people push the limits more; that video demonstrates perfectly the primary reason for its fitment.

That is precisely what happens when you make an aggressive double lane change at motorway speed in the vast majority of cars without ESP. Plenty on here might realise but I suspect many typical drivers have absolutely no clue. In this case it was the driver doing something a bit stupid, more often than not it's to avoid a bit of debris or a car pulling out without warning.

This is why there are average speed cameras on there now.

(As aptly covered by Dave Gorman last night) ... did you not read the title of the video? It's a bit of a give-away...

Actually if you look at it on full screen the leading car does actually start to pull over, Fiesta goes for the undertake just as he does this and hence ensuing carnage!
There's a tap of the brakes from the car ahead, and it moves back out to the outside lane as soon as it blocks the Fiesta. The Fiesta was being a tt but the car ahead was by no means innocent.

Theoretically, though I can't see it calming down idiots like this. More likely, by my experience, there will be more lane hogging and slow overtaking leading to more impatient risk taking and aggression from guys like this. I always feel more stressed with heavy speed enforcement around, not because I can't go as fast as I like, but because I feel more hemmed in with the idiots.

He pulls over to block the Fiesta - look at how quick he mirrors the Fiesta's move, then as the Fiesta returns to lane 2 he swerves back into lane 2 to block him.
Do you think every motorist is an angry man getting revenge?

More likly he went to pull to back into lane 1, daw that the fiesta had swerved that way and was closing quickly so swerved back not wanting to cut the guy up.
Bullst. Open your eyes.
I think you're wrong and Zoo is right.

I think that All that jazz is right and Zoo is wrong. The driver in front really looks as if he is weaving to keep the fiesta behind. He also fks off into the distance pretty sharpish and if he was a timid driver as suggested he would have stopped at seeing that in his mirrors.

He did block the fiesta, whether it was deliberate I don't lknow but he may have noticed at the last second and panicked.

I disagree. It looks like the lead car went to pull in after the overtake, started the move and then spotted Mr Impatient in his superFiesta swerving to pass on the inside. Lead car probably hits the brakes as a reflex and swerves the opposite way to avoid an accident, only to find the dick in the Fiesta now trying to pass him on the right and finally getting out of shape. He's probably then watching the accident unfold in his mirrors rather than immediately deciding to get back into the inside lane.

I've played it through in my mind and I think I'd have done exactly the same thing - and with no intention to cause an accident.
