I showed that video to a mate last night - mainly for the Mercedes-driving-lunatic - but he stopped-it at the Mokka and said "how is that car even allowed to be driven"

He has a point, in a minor collision, the car is thrown onto it's side. Airbags/belts are mostly designed assuming the car stays upright which is should do unless it ends-up going down embankments or the like.

All the hubbub about the original SMART/A-Class 'elk-test' and it seems a Mokka falls-over in what amounts to a common incident of 'clipping another car' (see also cars pulling into your path/bollards/traffic islands etc.)

Someone should ask Vauxhall if they have a comment to make on their cars apparently quite scary lack of stability???
See the quote below, the Mokka is no more unusual or likely to flip than any other car in that type of scenario, it's the laws of physics innit smile

That is kinda scary - I guess all those elk tests were in vain? Poor elks ;(

Haha! Welcome to our motorways. A typical drive on the M40 when busy would show this:-

L1- empty except for lorries and occasional good drivers at around 70mph
L2 - packed full and all at around 65mph
L3- packed full and all at around 67mph with the occasional nutter closing gaps at a 30mph differential.

More on this one. Deputy Culpepper (really!) admits he was at fault and has resigned.

We had a trainee cop in our county jailed for something silly one morning. After a night on watch/training/whatever, on his drive home another car driver wound him up some how. (Don't know what they did). Cop, not in a patrol car btw, got so angry he pulled along side the other car and tried to shoot the other guy. Missed him but bullet hit the b pillar just behind his head. Driver pulled over, called the cops and with the number plate noted, called around his house and arrested him.

Dukes of hazard cop style, hernando County, Florida!

Don't forget all the cars being driven at 50mph in lane 1 - saving fuel, but forcing all the 58mph lorries to pull out into lane 2.

Not really, as they'd have collected the poster of the video up with them. I dont get why there;s 'hope they die, fkers' comments. In that clip the Focus got away with what they were doing. They might be the best Driving God in the world, nothing bad happened. They might not be so lucky the next time they do it and that's fine, everyone from the armchair to the road can call them what they want.

Can't post the video until tomorrow night, after I've given a statement, but if you were driving like an absolute cock-socket yesterday between Wilsden and Heaton in Bradford (cue: "say no more" replies), I hope they throw the book at you when they see my footage...

First time I've genuinely been truly amazed/appalled at a driver's sheer idiocy (in real life at least - this isn't Russia after all).
Did we ever get a video after this massive tease?
A bit late sorry smile Hope it's worth the hype now! Driver will probably get a careless and inconsiderate driving penalty apparently.

If you're impatient jump to about a minute in, but included the earlier footage so you can see the learner's driving was absolutely fine.

Main story from Bradford.
Funniest thing is the muppets get out and video the faces and number plates of all their racing mates.
Still my be too difficult for Plod round here, though I imagine a few parents getting surprise visits about letting their lads drive the family car
Nice to see that speed bumps (sleeping policemen or whatever they are called) stop the idiots. hehe
