What is going off here then? Any news? Looks like the Astra and 4x4 try and block the van in, van stacks it then all occupants leg it. 4x4 driver looks to be in a hurry to get something out the back, presumably a weapon? Van occupants see weapon and leg it?
A robbery/hijacking, but probably not legit goods.
Van occupants all wearing gloves and looking very shifty...

to me its the usual scenario when 2 bellends meet.

The cammer saw the antics of the fiesta and still chose to put himself in harms way. And is now hiding behind the 'illegal move' and i've got a dashcam defence.

Any decent driver would have recognised the hazard and avoided the collision.
It's one of those dodgy roundabouts where you have road markings that only reference the main exits, on the approach I think I would have also been in lane 2 as there are 2 exits before the cammers exit. That said I would have indicated and crossed lanes as I passed the second exit when the fiesta entered the roundabout, probably only entering due to the to road position of the van and the cammer? Such an indication may have alerted the other car involved to my intent to exit?
Having said that the cammer clearly changes lanes to block with intention. If you watch again you can see the HGV further ahead indicate and place himself at the correct point in what becomes lane 1 of 2 going straight on leaving the lane the collision happens to end up peeling off left, a lane neither car ended up in, also backing a wrong initial lane choice for the cammer if this left hand lane exit after the roundabout was the intended exit for the cammer?
Personally can't see the scam angle, just see the sadly tragic standard of uk drivers these days.

I was making "good progress" and over taking other cars at the time. I had a faster car straight line and certainly in the bends. I don't have anything tro prove unlike audi drivers it seems

The guy was a douchebag who could only "drive" in a straight line. End of.

Interesting, earlier on there were commnets on that video from people watching it, and all pointed out HE caused the accident.
Clearly he didn't like this, has removed the comments and blocked further comments! He clearly doesn't like to hear the truth, does he?!!

"good progress" but clearly not quick enough for the car behind or he'd not be "tailgating" you. Just move out the way and let him go, then continue with how fast you want to go. It's not difficult. Instead, you hold him up, then try to burn him up through some corners, basically, disrupt how he choses to drive, show him you CAN drive faster, even if you are choosing not to.
So why not just carry on driving how you were choosing to, and leave him to drive as he chooses to...?

Too many self righteous people interfering with how others want to go about their business.

People who accuse others of "tailgating" are usually holding them up. In 28 years of driving, hundreds of thousands of miles all over the world, I've honestly never been what I would consider "tailgated". I occasionally see someone come up behind faster, but I am moved out of their way before they are close enough to ever been seen as "tailgating".
100% agreed - ive only ever been tailgated once and that was a BMW on a quiet county lane (30MPH limit) who revved the nuts off the engine, overtook in a puff of smoke and clutch smell, never to be seen again.

Think it was stolen poss....

If theres one thing I've learnt watching hours and hours of Russian car crashes is that Ladas are bloody death traps, and are very rapidly becoming scrap after so many are crashed..
This. The thing I learnt was that Russian drivers are only ever reactive to an event, never proactive in maybe avoiding it in the first place. Those 4-way junctions where people seem to just blindingly drive into others, sometimes at low speed and sometimes high speed - they seem to be doing everything other than looking beyond the steering wheel. That and their inability to think ahead, identify a pedestrian crossing and think "hmmm, let's look for a pedestrian". Instead someone gets mown down?

Glad I will never have to go to Russia.

What, on a NSL single lane road, or a 40mph road...or a 20mph road past a school, you move out of their way before you get tail-gated? bks!

What would be good (IMHO) is if there was a thread for just posting videos and another for the dick waving.

I can't be the only one that gets to the point of just looking for urls in this thread and speeding past streams of posts just contradicting each other?

Maybe s3fella is a tailgater and thinks that driving 2 foot from the guy in front is ok so its ok for them to be that close to his rear?
No chance that you have never been tailgated in 28 years

Dashcams, cycle cams and YouTube are often the means of revenge for the kind of people who got bullied at school. If you take Ronnie Pickering, forty years ago he was probably beating up nerds in the school playground and flushing their heads in the toilets. Now, the people who would have been his victims, and victims of people like him, can cam up and go out antagonising the hot headed thugs into doing something stupid so they can put it on YouTube, have it go viral and have them mocked worldwide. They can laugh at their crumby cars and their council houses and get them sacked from their supposedly menial jobs and feel a sense of superiority to them.

It's as much a way of trying to gain status and power as getting an Audi and driving aggressively or popping steroids and threatening people. The only difference is, the dashcammer or cycle cammer doesn't directly go on the attack but finds a way of making it look like he's under attack so he can claim to be the victim. He's fractionally more clever about it all and knows how to go about engineering the situation to his advantage without using out and out thuggery.

In 1839 Edward Bulwer-Lytton coined the phrase "the pen is mightier than the sword"

I think these days it's more "the dashcam and YouTube is mightier than the red faced, spittle-flying rant"
