Artic driver gets the rage with a Merc and drives like he is in a car.

Ends up bum punting the Merc onto a roundabout

I get the feeling something happened before the start of that video.

Did the dashcamer not see the truck driver walking over to Merc with a purpose and swinging his arms.

Then the video stops before he emerges around the truck.

Both need the book thrown at them for their antics although "cash for crash" scammers do exactly what the merc driver did at the roundabout, causing the bump.

+1

we are only seeing the conclusion of this tussle.

The merc has done something to ps off the lorry driver. The lorry driver tries to intimidate the merc who retaliates by driving slower than necessary and then gets pissed at being tailgated.

Lorry driver signaling left at the layby (probably with assocciated headlight flashing and hand signals) is him saying "pull over you I'm going to sort you out"

thats my reading of it anyway...

Here's one from my recent road trip to UK and back, Fiesta driver being a little daft. To be fair that's the only incident in the whole trip, in general I've found the road manners pretty good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnwGJYR-9Gc
If that had been a collision I'd have put that 100% tractor
Its got blinking orange lights on both sides of the cab top, so you dont reallu know what its going to do. Its kindly pulled over to the left on a straight piece of road with traffic behind. Who wouldnt assume that was to let traffic past?
Then without checking its turned right across overtaking traffic
Actually it did check luckily but very late
It's also got indicators on top of the wheelarches and at the top of the cab, so you can tell what it's going to do. It's towing a piece of machinery and it slows opposite a field entrance, and indicates right. I wouldn't assume it was pulling over to let traffic past.
It's a reasonably common collision. The tractor slows up pulls over to the left, car or motorbike behind goes for the overtake and the tractor pulls into a hitherto hidden field entrance.
It's not usually at a road junction, but it can still happen there.
The highway code rules about being overtaken apply i.e. if necessary hold back to allow an overtake to complete safely hold a steady course and never obstruct a vehicle trying to pass
and
The rules in The Highway Code do not give you the right of way in any circumstance, but they advise you when you should give way to others. Always give way if it can help to avoid an incident.
Luckily or by good judgement this is what happened this time but very late.

This kind of incident is waiting to happen when pulling into my parents in laws driveway. There is often cars parked on the left, that you go around, before slowing down and indicating right. But as you pull back into the left lane to get the right angle to enable you to pull into their drive, people try and overtake you, despite indicating right.

It sounds like if there was an accident in such a situation, you'd blame me. But I think it is other peoples impatience that is causing it, not mine.

Maybe, people tend to like blaming the obvious victims in these videos while defending the obvious idiots. The Mercedes driver may have just been a hesitant dodderer who the HGV driver was trying to intimidate out of his way. There are plenty of people on the road who stop dead at clear roundabouts without intending to wind up the people behind or involve themselves in a crash for cash scam. They just stop and then look. If I was going to attempt crash for cash, I wouldn't do it with a mad and bad HGV driver who was already wanting to "sort me out" at the roadside.

well yes - especially if you know it's likely to happen wink
If they're coming past let them get on with it and you can turn in when they're gone.
Ok they may have mistaken what you're about to do but no point making a meal out of it
As quoted previously in the HC if you can avoid an incident you should.

I couldn't agree more with that!

It's a minor irritation, why ruin your day over it?

I would be quite surprised if the Merc driver gets into any trouble. The lorry driver should never work again. Using a lorry as a weapon probably doesn't go down too well with the authorities!
