Yep, plonker in the taxi should've had his indicators on well before actually turning into the side road. A real pet hate of mine when drivers do that.

honestly, words fail me. If you watch most of his videos he gives police responses to most of them. He must never be out the police station. Honest to God he is the biggest wker I've ever came across.

The van driver pulls over in plenty of time, stops, ok a little cheeky but fk, would you go and start a fight with someone in Asda for something similar with a trolley.

He cycles on and thinks, no I have been wronged and goes back and starts arguing with the man. I didn't watch it all I gave up when he realised he was in the wrong and then started going on a different tangent.

Seriously he makes my blood boil.

I think the phrase "turndicators" has been coined on here to describe people who do this which I quite like.

Wasn't the Audi passing the cyclist on the other side of the road? Where was the aggressive overtake?

The Audi driver in his chav uniform could have easily punched him.

What might have happened is his ABS wasn't working (if he had it) and his sharp braking locked up the rears and made the car unstable.

I cycle regularly out in the country and central London and don't have anything like the number the number of incidents he has. He literally goes looking for it. Weapons grade.

It was as much his fault as the cabbie's.

He lives in a city in which he knows we pass on the right. He knows cabbies are liable to turn with little or no indication. He knows there's a cab there. He knows there's a road into which the cabbie may well turn. He knows if there's a coming together, the cabbie will come off better and he still chooses to stuff it up the inside. Ignorance of the realities of life (things like the imperfections of others) is not a valid defence.
It is rare that one mistake in isolation causes any real harm. The problems begin when two idiots collide, as was the case here (quite literally, in fact).

I'd like to think that I'm pretty fair and impartial when I view these videos.

Sometimes I go, yeah that was st driving. But more often than not I'm left infuriated by it. He claims to be educated to cycle, something or another level 3. But he never backs out of it. He never goes, "you know what, technically I might be right, but I can see why the car owner who is travelling faster and has less time to evaluate the situation might have misjudged that. Maybe impatience being stuck behind me doing 15 mph they went for it" He never sees another road users mistake and tries to help them out.

He continues along like a self righteous prick. Going to the letter of the highway code and never once applying common sense.

He can't brake, get out the way and be done with it. He needs to continue even if it means putting himself in danger. He then hunts them down to belittle and tell them off. Then when that isn't enough he goes to the police demanding prosecution. Seriously.

I dunno if he is a self righteous prick. I'd love to see the cuttings from his videos showing his mistakes but these never materialise. Or if he genuinely is wired wrong. Who has that little going on in their life. He is a drain on the public purse. Please someone run him the fk over. He doesn't have to die, just enough to stop him posting for a month will do.

You're right, but the cyclist is in effect overtaking past a junction. If it were me riding, I would have held myself responsible for that reason.

Not only that, but undertaking.

It's never good practice to overtake - or undertake - in the vicinity of junctions, for the simple reason that those are places where people are most likely to do something wrong and/or unexpected.

think he was going to. until the whoa whoa whoa lol.
I didn't hear that - sound off.

I'd also be inclined to give the benefit, except that there's nothing in the vid which indicates what the van driver actually saw, heard or really intended.

Most cars without ESP will oversteer like that given an aggressive double direction change, although granted it looked pretty spectacular given the inputs so probably st tyres.

Plus, on the assumption it's got drums, unless there's something majorly wrong with the front brakes I very much doubt you'll be locking the rears at that speed!

You could argue the toss on this one all day about apportioning blame between the cyclist and the taxi-driver. At the end of the day though, one thing is indisputable, the cyclist showed / practiced 0% as in BIG FAT ZERO defensive riding ability.

Defensive riding. Even when the other party is 100% in the wrong you still manage to avoid an accident. Try it, get home in one piece.

Works for drivers too!

Whoa! I simply made a non-judgemental observation.
As it happens, I agree about the lack of defensive riding ability shown.

What a total bellend, and extremely lucky given his ineptitude. That could have quite easily been a massive pileup.

This guy doesn't seem particularly perturbed by his accidental 360º

Reminds me of when I span at similar roads/speeds in similar snow, no cars about thankfully and gently steered it into a snow bank, but still an A road

I wrongly through youth presumed as I had lots of traction (due to decent LR 4x4) I also had loads of grip...I didnt and I lost! Taught me an important lesson that day!
