You created the situation by not reading the road. It was clear to you (although not so much so for us viewing what that potato has recorded... ) that he was gaining on the truck quite fast and he was clearly signalling his desire to overtake it. You could've easily backed off and let him go as the speed differential between them would see him past in 5 seconds as per the film, but instead you decided to argue with something many sizes bigger and heavier and it didn't end well for you. Of course he shouldn't have pulled out anyway but you deliberately put yourself in that position knowing what might happen. Not much sympathy here I'm afraid. byebye
Why does the dashcam record the same word in these clips smile

No mate, the truck driver should have read the road ahead better and adjusted his speed as it is not his right to just pull out, as you and he could see I was gaining on him and also in a line of cars ahead and behind me. He has to wait until it is clear to do so. That is what mirrors are for and the highway code.

I think both of you have cocked up there. Overtaking someone who is going to need to overtake himself is always bad, but his driving was very bad indeed - he cocked right up in fact, but your bad driving sucked you into his near-accident imo.

So is this going to turn in to a dashcam wker thread ?

If so, I have a nomination: https://youtu.be/_0iODbJik3E

Be warned, language is absolutely terrible, so definitely NSFW or if little people are around.

Oh and wait for the end hehe

What you say is legally correct, but it doesn't alter the fact you saw the situation developing and deliberately blocked him from moving out to make a 5 second overtake. Legally right or not, that makes you as bad a driver as him. Also if you carry on driving with that attitude it's only a matter time before a collision happens which results in you losing limbs and then can you sit there in your wheelchair on your moral high ground congratulating yourself on how you showed him who was in the right. yes

Well here is my contribution caught on camera tonight. The Clio driver blatantly knew what he was doing, tried to ram me off the road and block an overtake after I wanted out.
All because he cut me up, I never even gave him the horn(no inuendo intended)
The Clio comes into play at the roundabout but I started the video before to show there was no previous provocation. I let him overtake because I thought he was on some power trip and that he would f**k off. I was wrong.

Edited to shorten video on advice from other posters comments smile

Not good, but not as bad as the lorry driver. The fundamental problem here is that the lorry driver thought his signal meant 'Everyone make way, I am changing lanes'.

BS, the truck driver waits until it is clear. Surely dangerous driving all day long. I knew the car was there then decided "f**k it" and almost rammed him off.

If it was flipped and the car did that to the truck, who would be to blame and would the truck driver be responsible in anyway?

The guy in that dashcam compilation scares me a bit! Pushing in when the traffis is crawling because otherwise no one lets you in, or going first at a roundabout because you got there first, I'd consider everyday crap you just deal with.
I know some stuff could cause a proper accident, like cutting people up at high speed or red light jumping, so I can understand him getting angry and sweary about that.
I used to know a girl like that. She was a bit of a stressed out b**h when driving, swearing every time anyone did anything that mildly inconvenienced her. To her, driving was a war! Friendly enough out of it.

Jesus christ!

Hope you reported the lunatic and the police actually take it seriously, nobody should have to put up with knobs behaving like that.

Well done for getting past in the end though, I took it as a moral victory over the bellend. smile

That is mental, Clio driver straight lined a roundabout nearly side swiping you, then gets all aggressive about it, moronic.

What a throbber. So typical, somebody fks up and they know it, but rather than just put their hand up or flash the hazards to apologise, they have to act like Billy Big bks the hardman and start ing about.

Please do take that video to the police. That guy is going to kill someone and/or get killed.

Not sure why you carried on messing about with him once he started blocking you after the second roundabout. I would have just sat still and put on my handbrake and waited for him to get bored.

Both as bad as each other. Car with camera made the first aggressive move - if you can't see it, you shouldn't be driving.

I'm not even sure what that Clio driver has to be angry about in the first place? He was in the wrong throughout...
