I think it demonstrates quite neatly exactly why you wouldn't want to wait there doing nothing for ages on a push bike. They are being more efficient so assuming they observed potential risks properly as they approached what's the problem? They impeded nobody.

if a tree falls in the forest...etc
And the difference is? on having to wait on a push bike v motorbike, car, van, artic?

First near miss I've seen since getting the dashcam, thought I would use it as a test for reviewing a clip if something happens. Anyway, not sure if the silver 407 Coupe was doing over 70 but seemed to close up fast when I saw him approach in the mirror, regardless, the red Fiat would have been rear ended were it not for quick reactions on the 407s part.

I wonder why we bother with cycle boxes when they do this? If cyclists want us car drivers to behave then they should damn well keep to the rules themselves!

Action starts at about 25 seconds:-

https://youtu.be/XQJETuQg0HE

What a waste of paint and coloured tarmac.
So if the bikes were registered they wouldn't have gone past amber stop lights or turned right without indicating like those registered vehicles did?

Talk about blinkered view point! Action starts at 25 secs, ignore the cars disobeying the amber stops and not indicating right if you wouldn't mind.

laugh Dear god!
Heebee I think you are overstating the car drivers' offences there! Yes the green Fiesta (right-hand lane ahead of me) could have stopped, but to be fair it was beyond the line before the red came on. Unlike the cyclists.

As for signalling right - not necessary at this junction! Three of the four "right turns" are made from dedicated lanes, according to arrows painted on the road. That's why these lights are 4-way, with each quarter of the junction getting its own green phase. I reckon the cyclists knew that, so were able to cross the first half of the road with no chance of traffic coming from the right ... but one day the local authority may re-phase the lights without much warning.

Seems the new rule is I have signaled so I AM coming out, regardless of how close the approaching car is or how fast its going, if you leave the recommended gap on a motorway someone will without doubt indicate and just pull into it thus halving the distance between cars.

What's the problem?
Red lights don't apply to cyclists!
Do they?

Had to smile today, coming back home through villages on a route heavily used by motor cyclists. A copper on an unmarked police motorbike, (never seen one before) was pulling a cyclist over, 20 meters from a traffic light controlled cross roads. Looks as if the cyclist had run the red light. There's no substitute for bobbies on the beat.

Eh? Why have you titled the clip with number plates?

Car going fast sees another car pull out and applies the brakes. Not exactly you tube worthy...

Yep seems like another non-event to me. I did note that the red got his toe down and pulled back in as soon as he was clear so I'd like to think just a misjudgement of the coupe's speed which we've all been guilty of at some point.

Yep red car pulled out as you'd expect and it pulled back in sharpish after completing the overtake
The silver car was going a bit quick for the speed of the other traffic.

Complete non-event. 407 was clearly speeding like a dick and would have had to brake hard for the traffic a few yards in front of where the other vehicle pulled out anyway.

Don't be silly, this is actually the "Sh*t Driving Caught On Dashcam followed by pages of people with 'opinions' (like aholes, everyone has one) criticising the footage/the OP/blaming the OP/OMG OP was a cyclist therefore 100% at fault when that Audi Q7 drove at him in an attempt to kill him cos he looked at the Audi driver in a funny way/party at fault is a <insert profession/car of choice here e.g. taxi driver/HGV/Sinclair C5 rider> therefore I'm going to twist this and put all the blame on the OP" Thread

TL;DR
White Audi man gets angry when car gets in his way.

M4 westbound in south wales last week. Traffic in lanes 2 and 3 slow down when they see a warning sign saying 'Debris! Slow down'. I came off cruise control which had been set to 65 and slow. There was a camper van following me with about four or five car lengths separation. Mr Angry in his white Audi swung into the gap behind between me and the camper as I slowed, misjudged my speed and almost collided with the back of my car. He could have pulled into the huge gap in front as we'd only just passed the mile warning for the next exit. He didn't though and sat so close to the rear of my car for that mile that I couldn't see the bonnet of his car as I carried on at 55 mph keeping a look out for anything in the road.
Nothing too bad so far but just before the junction he pulled on to the hard shoulder and accelerated into my blind spot and sat there presumably waiting for me to pull off the motorway and into the side of him. When I didn't he boots it and gives me the middle finger salute and a load of shouting which I didn't hear but saw the opening and closing of his angry face.

Video one is the slowdown which caused his blood to boil.
https://youtu.be/RZKAvTq9-ko

Video two is him booting it whilst giving me the finger.
https://youtu.be/X3zf7LgSxmc

I put the cruise control back on and carried on in the sunshine whilst listening to old Iron Maiden. There never was anything on the motorway but I did have to pick my way through the remains of a tyre on an A road later. It's a shame I don't have a rear camera as it would show the rest of his angriness.

The timestamp on the video is wrong as the video was the 30th June.

Now this is a near miss. I reckon that I should have slowed further for the traffic lights being out, although they seem to be part time so wasn't sure they were definitely out. Thank goodness for ABS as there was inches from my fully loaded Transit battering this woman's side door in. (She didn't even notice until I locked up!).

No sound due to bad language used under duress (of surprise)

fk, you're right there. I agree you could have slowed down a bit but Jesus H, he lack of spatial awareness of the woman, or indeed bloody mindedness... I'd have been on the anchors as soon as I saw van looming even close!

I think you're being hard on yourself there, but probably right to be cautious in this topic as a large number of posters have a crystal ball!

I'd say good driving on your part, well done.
