After about 2003/4 all vw group cars (bar the polo/up type cars) have the same 5x112 stud pattern. Bentley are part of that group. Not exactly rocket science.
The Up has the same 4x100 pattern as the Mk1 and 2 Golf. So here's a few Golf mk1's with 16" VW Up wheels.

Two possibilities- the strong trade in stealing and selling on of said-wheels for the VAG scene.

It could be from salvage however they wouldn't be cheap would they?
They're more likely from cars that have been fitted with 22" Khan monstrosities.

The Bentley wheels go for between £700 and £1500 usually, but unlike aftermarket wheels they hold their value well.

The Polo with the BMW wheels was obviously just done for the hell of it. That's why it's only got two wheels on that had just been removed from the Bora in the background. It won't have been driven like that.

I'd much rather see OE wheels on 'wrong' cars than Halfords or Khan alloys.

LR/RR wheels are 5X120, same as BMW smile which is how their used so widely on T5 Transporters too, with different bolts though. Ford are generally 4 or 5X108, same as Jaguar & Volvo.

Non-Ford Jags are 5x120.65 (4.75") - it was Ford who changed the PCD to 5x108. Jags up to and including the the X308 (which is XJ40 based) are 5x120.65.

Plenty of material to gnash over on this thread:

http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/99066

I don't like huge wheels on cars myself, but each to their own. The wheels on most modern cars are so big they're not a million miles from some of these anyway - they're just fitting a modern huge-bling-wheel look on to older cars a lot of the time.

Some of the more appropriate sized fitments in the Retro rides thread actually look quite good.

There's a Vectra near me with Land Rover Discovery alloys with low profile tyres. Took me weeks of driving past before I worked out what they were off. Looks ok.

VW owners have coveted Porsche wheels for 20+ years. It has forced the prices of Design 90s up to comical levels.

You can still buy them for sensible money, but anything clean/smart, polished or painted in a stupid colour will see fanbois asking for comical sums (and other fanbois paying!).

If there's one way to ruin a VAG's already iffy handling, it's to put massively heavy and wide rims on it!

Yup, there you go.

I sold my 17" GTA wheels for a very nice price to a Dubber who was going to put them on his Passat.
You're a bad man. A curse on your suspension geometry!

As has been pointed out, the Phaeton has TSW wheels on it. Without Bentley centre caps on, as far as I know. I actually bought some Bentley wheels off the owner, and put them on an Audi. Then a Phaeton. Collected them in my old Lupo GTI. Which has had a couple of sets of Porsche wheels.

Why not go for OZ Superturismo wheels instead then? Similar look, and an OEM/motorsport link.
