Anyone know anything about these? Need to reduce the gap between my throttle and brake pedals and thought putting an extension on the throttle pedal or both pedals would be the easiest way. Do they clamp on or do you need to drill the pedals? Are they all much of a muchness or are some more for show than anything else? I guess it could be quite dangerous if they came loose!

A quick browse on Demon Tweeks revealed that they seem to come with a "for show or offroad use only" caveat which doesn't inspire confidence.

I've got no welding gear nor any experience of welding!

I used a piece of plywood as a pattern to experiment with extending/raising my throttle pedal (to aid heel-toe) before making an aluminium one. 4 years later, the plywood is still fitted wink

ps. bolt or screw the pedal extension to the throttle pedal.

modifying the brake pedal is probably best avoided.

What car is it for? There might be some out there already...

It's for an MNR Vortx. I presume the throttle pedal is a standard product not something home made (although it does look pretty home made!) but I haven't found a replacement that would suit yet.

Just had a sit in the car and put a bit more thought into what the problem actually is. There is a big gap to the brake pedal which it would be good to close up but actually I think it would help if the throttle pedal was lower too. I heel and toe with my foot diagonal rather than using the side of my foot like I've seen other people do, although only by necessity I guess as I've never had pedals that close together. In my MNR I have to twist my ankle far too much to do this so either a smaller gap or a lower pedal would help. Trouble is the footwell is very tight compared to a normal car so it doesn't give much leeway for changing things around.

Here's my MNR pedals:

And for comparison, a pic of MX5 mk1 pedals as I had one before and felt it was really well set up for heel and toe:
