Oh yeah baby...

"...the R-Sport was based on the DLS trim level featuring sporting additions such as self-adhesive 'R-Sport' decals and rev counter..."

Still, a rev counter in an early 80's hatch was pretty rock and roll.

Yeah, and an uprated camshaft and a couple of massive twin choke solex carburettors

And at least it's front engined, rear wheel drive... I seem to remember they were actually pretty good fun to drive too

Havent they become the choice of your average teenage drifter wannabe? Cheap to insure, the Renault 2.0 16v engine boots straight in, RWD etc..

Is trying to catch spontaneous over-steer considered a sport?

I give you my very own Jeep Cherokee 'sport'

Read 'sport' as 'poverty spec'

Read 'poverty spec' as 'less things that don't work any more'

wink

Does anyone know if these actually came with a net and an umpire?

When you fire it up, does it make a racket?

My A5 "S Line" comes with a 136bhp Diesel engine emitting 109 co2's thank god it came with 245 section tyres and the "S Line" suspension, can't imagine how it would cope otherwise ;-)

Yep - pretty much all Renault Clio and 19 16v's and Megane 2.0 have been sacrificed in the name of drifting

This is my 530i Sport. It's very nice, however, it's not that fast, and it's definitely not sporty. Apart from some harder suspension over standard it's all cosmetic. My SE 528i was a nicer car to drive I guess, but I wanted the Sport.

Here's my effort...The Audi A3 Sportback Sport. Yes that's right, two sports in the model name.

It's got a sports seats, sports steering wheel and fortunately, deselected sports suspension.

My 740i Sport. Not sporty in the traditional sense, more than happy on a wet Nurburgring though

Eh??

Well, I suppose my Volvo is a Sports Utility Vehicle on account of the 2 tennis rackets, 6 balls, 20 cones and other sports-related crap in it.
