Insurance Renewal Merry-Go Round

It's that time of year where I spend ages checking out the best quote for renewing my car isurance.

Some of them are eye-watering. I could understand it if they didn't want my business, but one Broker phoned me 5 minutes after I got an on-line quote for £1050, fully expecting me to bite his hand off.

I'm 60, full no-claims and drive a 1.8 Mondeo. He seemed shocked that I didn't like his quote. Maybe my car has a hidden rocket propulsion button that I haven't discovered yet....

yep its a joke.

got my renewal with Aviva the other month. rang them up saying im not paying that. asked if i had any other quotes which i honestly replied no. Got it lowered by over 200.

they just pull numbers out of orifices, nothing to do with statistics.
