Righto, I think I've got this now. Bus drivers pull on to the two 'live lanes' of Wellsely Road - the ones coming up from the underpass, 30mph, but everyone's doing 60 - they come in at a pretty harsh angle into lane two, for those that are not familiar with the road you see them do emergency stops in lane one thinking the busses are coming all the way over (just after the bollards) the busses never enter lane one and the locals always scoot past.

This happened to you didn't it? You then followed the bus into a road nobody ever uses, then abused the bus driver because you thought he'd enter your lane or he did enter lane two but you were doing 60 and didn't anticipate a big red bus with its indicators on coming into the lane he was indicating into.

You're on CCTV at the bus station for sure, and if you approached the driver in the bus, on his CCTV too.

Sometimes you just need to shrug and put it down to experience. Being an angry kid will just make you more angry.

And if you had a shout at him in the bus you may well find it's all on the cameras on the bus. All ready for the nice policeman to see & have a copy of when the bus company make a complaint of one of their drivers being abused/threatened.

Shout & swear inside your closed car by all means, but going to confront the other party is never a good idea. Have a Google for Kenneth Noye/Stephen Cameron.

Happy birthday BTW.
I was in the car not on the bus :-/

I said why cut me up ?
He said "what you gunna do hero"
I said I made a wrong turn now just be patient
He said F off
I replied with get a job where you don't drive.
And he pulled out and forced me straight into the station

I drove through a bus only section of Basingstoke when I first moved there, it did have cameras up and mentioned fines but fortunately nothing through the post for me. I got caught out the signage wasn't the greatest and talking to a passenger was enough of a distraction to make me not pay attention.
It was in front of the train station wasn't it? hehe
How did you know? hehe

Are bus drivers recorded on internal cameras? If that's really how the exchange went then he's crossed the line, might be worth filing a complaint about it if you're that put out (although I'd probably just forget about it and move on).

Many are. Often several cameras inside. Protection for drivers, the bus itself (criminal damage), the bus company (bogus claims for injury) & other passengers. External cameras also (claims for accident damage)
So be careful what you get up to on the top deck back seatsmile

I see quite a few people do it. I suspect the main reason being it's not signposted AT the roundabout so once you come off the mini-roundabout to go to the station and you realise it's a bus/taxi lane, there's no way out apart from a 3-point turn or up a ramp into a multi-storey car-park.

The irony being that they force "the public" coming from the "wrong" direction to go through a car park at the back of the station that doubles as a "road" to approach from the "correct" side, in order that all that traffic doesn't cross over the zebra crossing or interfere with the numerous buses clogging up the front of the station, instead having to contend with cars maneuvering into and out of perpendicular parking spaces as well as numerous pedestrians crossing wherever the hell they feel like because there's no dedicated crossing!

Probably the same people that created a bus/taxi lane that forces all other traffic past a lollipop-controlled school crossing (on a bend) in Pemerton Road instead of down a perfectly straight road nowhere near the school. Council thinking at it's best. rolleyes

Is it just me that can't grasp how the hell this happened?

OP was apparently cut up, forced somewhere and had to swerve, drove down a dead end road then into a bus station but we're still non the wiser how

That's not actually any clearer. confused

Either way, if you do get fined due to camera evidence, it's going to show an absolute offence being committed absolutely i.e. unless you can somehow prove you were physically forced into the station by a bus then I would imagine you're stuffed.
