cv joint replacment surcharge

hi, just bought a cv joint and when i was collecting it i was told i had to pay an extra £10 as they had been charged £10 surcharge and could I bring my old joint back for reconditioning afterwards.



I assume this is common practice

and will i get my 10 quid back when i return my old joint>
