Speeding up to let others past

I'll happily speed up to let people past, did it a couple of times today in fact. Sometimes I do 70mph, and sometimes I do more than 70mph because I'm late or I need an egg McMuffin before breakfast stops, so the times I'm going a bit quicker I appreciate people moving.
But also sometimes I'll drop 2 cogs and boot it to make a point and to goad people because I am a child.

Once on the M20 I was doing an indicated 77mph when I caught up with a line of traffic going a bit slower. I pulled out into the outside (lane 3) to go past, a dark Ovlov V70 came up behind pretty quickly & sat close to my tail. The cars in Lane 2 were all much too close to each other so I couldn't pull in, so after a bit I sped up to get out of the way. As soon as I could pull in I did so & the Ovlov pulled in front, turned on flashing blue lights & a sign in rear window saying "speed limit 70MPH" before zooming off! I let cars behind wait now!
