Works for me!
Strangely once I'd quoted it, it worked for me too.As mentioned before though, always rolling starts. How do you know that GT board haven't been encouraged to give the 'segg a chance?
If the Agera R was so quick then when couldn't the One:1 beat a standard Veyron with a normal person driving the Veyron and a Koenigsegg test driver in the One:1?

Who knows? I'm not on a side, I just thought the video was interesting. I do think it's a bit strong to suggest foul play though. Weather, temperature, surface, state of the car, drivers blah blah blah. All makes a difference. As for rolling starts, agreed, they do seem a handful to get off the line. In the real world though, standing start is pretty irrelevant really. As mentioned before though, always rolling starts. I think they Koni is probably as fast as it's supposed to be, but it's significantly more difficult to extract said performance. Whether you see that as good or bad is entirely personal.

I'd agree there... Launch control on the Veyron makes it look very easy (whether that's true is another matter of course) - foot planted and hang on!militantmandy said:

Anybody can put a shed load of power in a car, harnessing it is the important part. How many people buy a car and tune it up? And then wrap it round a tree because they didn't sort out the handling or brakes?

As someone who has spent time at the factory and is considering ordering a 1:1...I can assure you they are actually very fast
Can I ask why you would buy one? Admittedly some of the detailing is top notch but the styling is a bit suspect from certain angles (looks like a melted blob IMO)and the handling always seems to not be as well resolved as other hypercars i.e. they always seem to suffer lots of wheelspin and be on the ragged edge when ever I see one driven in anger. I could be mistaken but they just don't always seem like the finished article as if they have not spent enough development time on it. If I had the means I just don't think it's a car that would even enter into the equation so just curious as to the decision\thought process as to why you'd choose one of these over some of the more obvious alternatives?

Are you saying it doesn't handle or stop? You really seem to have it in for this car!How many people buy a car and tune it up? And then wrap it round a tree because they didn't sort out the handling or brakes?
The Agera seems to go pretty well!

If the One:1 is really as fast as its made out to be, why couldn't it beat a Boggo standard Veyron at VMax? The Veyron is a 10 year old car now, and lets not forget the Supersport has an extra 200bhp over the standard car. But the One:1 couldn't even beat that with the Koenigsegg test driver behind the wheel and just a regular guy driving the standard Veyron?
Because one is feat of precision engineering magnificence, and the other is some bits cobbled together in a shed in Sweden. The Veyron is an outrageously capable bit of kit, you only need to see the supposed "faster" cars that it still manages to beat down the straight at Vmax once the low drag mode is selected to see that.

The car in the video clip, what's it for? Is it a road car, some sort of racing series car or a halfway point trackday car?
It's a road legal car, an extreme version of the Agera R. The name comes from the power to weight ratio: one hp per kilo. It's something like 1360hp. They've only made 5 customer cars iirc.gregf40 said:

I had the understanding they were all sold out..?Christian said to me...if I give him enough money he can build me a helicopter!
Out of interest, if you were going to spend what must be a considerable amount on money on something truly crazy, would you not consider going the whole hog by buying a RHD Regera ?

I know the looks are subjective - but I think it looks brutal in real life.

You need to drive one to understand just how incredible they are - they are faster than the current crop of hyper cars and feel as well put together IMO.

What's the handling and traction like? In all the magazines articles I've read they say it's fast in a straight line but no one has described what it's like in the corners. I know the looks are subjective - but I think it looks brutal in real life.
