the black one didn't make the reserve of £6k but the grey one sold for £6k

It all looks to have been a bit flat, compared to recent classic auctions. A lot of cars didn't sell, by the looks of things. And some pretty good value cars there, if the descriptions are to be believed.

The e28 M5 seems to have been one of the stronger performers. £18.5k is probably about right in the current market for a car of that mileage and condition.
