Can anyone explain this sellers concerns on their ebay advert?

Child Safe Guarding

The motor trade has good and bad. I have conducted in-depth research on this topic and in the highly unlike scenario that a buyer decide to take revenge I would like to keep my children out of it. So to protect them I will not meet potential buyers or viewings at my home. I will happily agree to meet at say, local super market etc. I hope you understand this request as sadly, not everyone is as kind as we are.
Surely any prospective purchaser would want to view the V5 with the current address before purchasing and therefore any buyer would definitely have the details to 'take revenge'?

It makes no sense to me, but would like to be educated. Otherwise I will just have to assume this is one of those weird A2 drivers off of the weird owners website. (Yes we have an A2 biggrin )

Also I find it odd that a private seller only wants Paypal funds and not cash at a cost of about £130 to him.

Sounds like he should just trade that car in at a dealer?

More likely a buyer in to every conspiracy theory going though and living in a state of constant paranoia.

I'm curious how the seller would respond to a query about validation (?) of the V5. And does a buyer not get that information through the V5 on purchase anyway?

The seller states, 'It's a fabulous car and SO much fun to drive. I want the new owner to gain the same level of enjoyment as I have, rather than have it sitting on the drive.'

Yeah, those Audi 1.4TDI's are amazing drivers' cars.rolleyes

"Part are not a problem, as the VW Polo was the platform for A2. "

He's sadly not as well informed as he'd like the buyer to think.

The "Chils Safe Gurading" clause just screams to me that the car is majorly borked in some way.

Why would anyone want to "Take revenge"?

Is he trying to cover up major defects or just paranoid?

Either way, he sounds like a potential PITA and therefore best avoided.

Might buy it via paypal then open a case and say I never received it, then get my money back via paypal laugh

Guy sounds nuttier than a squirrels turd.

I may understand his viewpoint though, if I was selling my RS, I wouldn't do it from my house, I don't want people knowing where I live, especially when alot of thefts are happening, but for a Audi A2 not so much. But the talk of revenge? I dunno why he would say that? As pointed out, if the person buys the car they'll have his address, and who would take revenge out after only viewing a car in any case?

What a pretentious load of ste, he sounds like a typical German lover. Such a wonderful and quality car it needed a new turbo and top end rebuild at 83,000 miles. What a monumental fu@tard.

Yeah, he's missed the glaring oversight that he hasn't even mentioned how old the bloody thing is, could be 15 years old, could be 10 for all I know lol.

Rule number one when you write a car advert-when you read it back, would I go and see this motor?

This guy sounds like a deluded clown. Give him a month he'll be at WBAC getting bent over, but hey, at least his kids will be safe.

My biggest query is what detergents does Shell or BP diesel have in it versus the cheap supermarket rubbish? And does he do a 180 mile round trip on the A1 to ensure the engine runs nice and efficiently every two weeks or twice a week?

The guy is obviously on Planet Zog.

What a strange way of advertising what is effectively white goods.

112k trouble free miles?

Since the turbo went at 83k, that gives a grand total of 195k miles.
