Was only telling the wife the other day about your restaurant experience on your last trip.

Apart from that ^^^ sounds like it's been a good trip so far.

Look forward to the rest. Do you have a rule against sharing exactly which little country roads you're blasting around on?

I don't know France at all so it would give me a general area to head for and perhaps a road to start on smile

Dan,
No special secret places, I just drive about wherever I like the look of. Plenty of that type of countryside in Central Loire where I am now. I've also had a lot of fun around the Beaune area (which is a cracking place anyway and worth the visit even without a car).

France is way too big to get a handle on all the driving conditions but everything is here.
Most people always seem to want mountain roads, lovely for the scenery and all that but I prefer the flat stuff for early morning blasting!

Nothing on the car front today, driven all around Tours for an hour and a half and haven't seen anything remotely interesting, might be time to move the thread to Mumsnet.

Did one of these on the Lambo last time I was here a couple of years ago so you know, for forms sake:

This is Ferrari's big problem, not enough flat places to stand your beer. They need a few English drunks on their design team.

When I was last here I also got some pics of the Lambo with the girls who work here. This lovely French girl is still here and she was more than happy to be in a few pics with the Mclaren:

Mate this bloody trip is dragging, I can't wait to get back to work.

Just had a quick look at .....Rouen race track....but

"All evidence of race activities have been removed"

But you can still drive the circuit as it's public roads.

Joan of Ark was torched at Rouen Brad, I am sure there will be significant local viewpoints to discover.

Oh Russ it's funny you should say that, there was a 9 kilometer tree lined run near my hotel in Orleans, massively quick with some lovely little switchbacks and crests. I actually did think about filming it but then realised it wouldn't be a very good idea, thought about taping the phone near the exhaust and running Recforge but I thought it's bound to fall off half way through.

Will give this some thought.

Was she? Well that's a bit of education already. Better not mention Orleans when I'm there!

I'm hoping there may be some sort of historical center there where I can buy "Alcohol". I'm doing an er... thesis.

Did a cycle tour of the Loire a few years ago and saw a few of the chateaux, cracking views! Can't remember exactly which ones we visited but certainly recogised some of the ones you've seen so far, keep up the good work!
