What I like about PH promoted content/sponsors/stickies is that it's invariably a pile of absolute ste so I can just ignore the shilling garbage without even having to look at it.

Christ, 480p video with more artefacts than Pompeii. Ignoring the video player (which, when it works, erm... works), that's awful quality. It looks like Youtube from 2007.

I'm surprised you didn't go the whole hog and do one of your "catch it while you can" PCP deals as well, you know silly deposit + many silly monthly payments at a crazy APR.

All that video did was make the Quattro look great (but we know that) and the RS3 look undernourished.

I think you're going in the wrong direction....

I don't mind the promoted content on PH, they are always very open about it and advertising is needed to keep the site going.

If I don't fancy reading the article I tend not to click on it.

Anyway back to being PH £50k for a hatch back!

I'm afraid I just don't get why they feel the need to draw parallels with a 30year old Rally car. About the only thing in common is the number of cylinders. It's just bizarre that they spend so much on producing a frankly incredible LMP1 Hybrid that's only 3s a lap slower around Silverstone than an F1 car, and yet you hardly ever see it referenced directly in marketing....

Well that was really quite rubbish.
Why in the Forrest? Hardly likely to see that in real life. Then again hardly likely to see the RS3 using any of it's million bhp on the road either.
I never see any of theses super powered mega bucks machines actually being driven faster than a Prius.

I agree with your point concerning extras you don't with much with Audi although I think they are not alone in this regard. This year I purchased an S1(I appreciate not in the RS3 league)but still a top of the range model not only was Sat Nav and extra it did not even come with an armrest.

I may be biased but I think the power arms race has got slightly ridiculous I haven never felt the need for more power in a hatchback than my current vehicle.

So... it's just a car ad then? Shouldn't this be in the youtube thread?

Why Audi would want to advertise here is beyond me. Biggest collection of VAG haters on the internet hehe

Look chaps, Pistonheads is a free web site, allow them some slack to make some coin...i'm sure if the RS3 is rubbish to drive they will still tell us so when test drives come along.

I quite like the vid, would have added loads more mud if i was the director.

Not all Audi adverts are rubbish though, the R8 V10 advert with the engine going flat out was st cool!

Indeed. The one where the R8 gives birth to the RS3 though, not so much. fking weird, in fact.

I thought Chris Cunningham would have been behind it but looks like there are a few more interesting people making car adverts hehe

R8 vid was cool found the RS3 one pretty pointless. So im supposed to see the RS3 as a rally car for the road? whatever... hope PH's versions are better, just film one being driven into a wall. I'd enjoy that.

Profit making business in cash for adverts scandal. It's like some people don't understand how this place and almost everything else in the world runs FFS.

No problem with this, you choose to click the play button so don't bloody complain like it's been rammed down your throat.

Only issue i have is that Peugeot recently did an ad for the 208 GTi anniversary v a 205 GTi with a very similar concept only I feel theirs was actually a little more convincing despite the car flipping over a helicopter.
