I've always preferred the Targa in the 964's. This singer is therefore perfection for me too.

So, the United Kingdom plain coupe must be owned by some lucky brit, going by their car naming conventions. Wonder if the lucky so-and-so is on here? scratchchin

Almost perfect. I say almost, as I can't get over the central filler cap thing - I full appreciate why it's there, but aesthetically, it's ruination.
Central filler is an extra cost option... so if your numbers ever come up you can have yours without and save a few bob.

Pretty sure I remember a post in the Porsche section some time ago and either he is on here, or he has a mate that posts on here.

I think the phrase 'meaninglessly expensive' is wrong to use here.

The cars apparently take up 4000 man hours to complete. Divide the 'starting' price by that, and you're looking about less than minimum wage.

Okay, that's a very loose way to look at it but it's an indication. It's bespoke and hand-built.

If I won a significant amount of money this weekend I'd have an order placed within a week - spectacular cars, hopefully I'll get to see one in the flesh some day.

That Targa. There's something Bad Boys about a black 911 turbo that Singer totally get.

I have yet to meet someone who isn't mesmerized by these things - the cost is crazy, but that's the bespoke and 'best of the best' thing in full effect - replacing most of a car's metal with carbon-fibre isn't cheap!!

They have YEARS of development costs to recoup as well as the time and parts costs (the Chris Harris video explains some of this - nothing is cheap!)

I noticed that the head guy there - Rob Dickinson - is 'Iron Maiden' Bruce Dickinson's cousin too - might explain the lovely voice the car has then? He seems a cool guy tho, he explains things with such a 'yeah, it's expensive and took ages but it's RIGHT' attitude smile

I'm afraid not,it's overly lowered and the wheels, especially the rears, are too wide with silly stretched tyres, rather like a pimply youths slammed polo.

It's 2015, the old Fuchs/tyre sizes just aren't going to work with modern suspension and modern power-outputs - it HAS to have Fuchs tho, so the wider/larger replicas are just a shoe-in, you'd be crazy not to - I'm sure you could spec 'fatter' tyres if that was what you wanted - and higher ride and 'NHS yellow' paint ;0

If it was a period 911, you'd want air in the arches for sure - but it's not, it's a modern take on the classic longbonnet 911 and modern cars ride lower, it's just how we be - the detail is just awesome - the put leather in the engine bay (arguably for stylish and mad than the F1's gold leaf) and nickel plate the details (expensive!) for f's sake...

It's not a Magnus Walker car - be thankful for that (I don't dislike what he does but at times it's all a bit arty and yoof and just a BIT naff)

Indeed. Still looks all wrong with the roof on. But I guess it will be mainly sold to folks in sunny parts of the world.

I like Targas because they're really cool to sit in and take in the extra light etc. - the 993 'sliding roof' Targa was particularly cool but they can't have sold more than a handful cos I've not seen one in a decade or more (I know the earlier cars were prone to leak/worth less/scrapped sooner)

The article says the RHD one is yellow...but I am seeing orange. Should I go back to that dress picture again????
The pictures were taken late in the day. The setting sun makes the yellow seem orange-ish wink

But my god, that's beautiful... I've never liked the 911 targa's but somehow this just looks right.
How Singer do it, I don't now but they seem to create the perfect 911 everytime. Just stunning.

I've seen a few videos of him on Youtube and can't really work him out. He seems to be trying to hard to be different and 'cool'

In absolutely no way am I a porker fan, but oh my that targa is very VERY nice, perfect blend of classic with newer & bespoke. Sure it's expensive but as others have said a lot of peoples time and expertise goes into these so it's not too bad 'value' if you could call it such.

Now where did I put my lottery ticket!

Not bad, shows what a bloated modern 911 has become...
