Still stuck on. BMW are just better at it than Merc & Audi.
Looks just as bad on a three series.
At least in the three it looks partly integrated.

All good points but I think you can get to a point where you go too far and then you end up with silliness like trying to fit the same "corporate face" on a small hatchback AND a large SUV which just looks silly as the proportions just don't work and the small cars invariably end up with big goping faces.

Sure have family cues but not to the detriment of the rest of the design. They used to manage perfectly well 20 years ago. I instantly new I was looking at a BMW back then too without them all looking identical.

Good to see a reasonably decent range of petrol engines (lacking a six but lets be honest the chances were slim at best...) with low (EU laboratory) emissions and tax, hopefully this well help them get a larger share of the sales than before.

Anyone else think the gearlever looks a little too far back ? I'm sure its not the case but it looks like you have to reach back slightly to use it which could be awkward on a manual.

Lol at that piccy, I'm sure it will be a lovely place to be on the outside lane at 3.30 pm
Is it wrong that I find them as appealing as a Talbot Solara was in the late 80's

I think this is a pic of the 2016 A4 engine.

Except that's transverse.
Isn't the new one transverse?

(if not why not?!)
No, still longitudinal. It's on the VAG MLB platform which is for the larger cars. Although, IMO bizarrely, not the Passat.

As CH put it on twitter... "As a current Audi A4 owner I cannot tell you how happy I am with Audi's revolutionary new A4 design. Vorsprung durch residuals."

Was thinking in relation to the diesel models, I wouldn't dare say any more things on here about an Audi! laugh
