Convertible Tow Car

Bimbling around in the sunshine today it struck me I missed having a drop top. I idly mused on a thread, are there any convertibles that will tow?

I can only think of 335i or S4 (maybe).

Any more for any more?!

I've seen the A4 Cab with the 3.0 TDI which is supposedly an excellent engine for towing.

my 1969 mgb roadster had a towbar and I used to regularly tow with it...

We had a customer pick a 16ft fishing boat up and towed it away in a bright yellow Saab 93. Was certainly eye catching. I've seen mk1 mx5s with type bars, but my wifes mk3 isn't allowed one. I think everything need type approval now so can't just stick one on anything.

Another vote for the Saab here. Nice looking & a seriously comfortable cruiser. Particularly nice in aero spec

My Volvo C70 D5 came with a towbar fitted, I've used it for a bike rack but I've often thought it'd be a great tow car. I personally prefer automatics for towing though.

My parents had a e46 320i convertible that was used to tow the caravan. Took us down to the south of France each summer for the 3 years they had it.
