is my maths correct if they got 5,000 deposits at £5,000 that's 25 million is that right
I don't think they'll get anywhere near that, more like a few hundred perhaps.

U wot m8? That Russian, Nikolai Smolenski, is nothing whatsoever to do with this current venture? UK based Englishman Les Edgar of computer game fortune and Aston Martin racer has been the owner for a couple of years now. Cosworth Engineering and Gordon Murray of Macca F1 fame are also heavily involved too. A far more credible prospect than anything we've seen for a long long time.

But you're right, they need to provide a lot more info on it before reasonably expecting a worthwhile number of people to plonk a 5 grand deposit down. Hoping to see that info in due course...

As much as I love TVR, I do not have blind faith, which is what is being asked for here, well not to the tune of £5k. For the £5k are you a contributer to the start up capital and hence a share holder or something, what happens when they change their mind in 12 months time will they do a Phoenix. Too many variables At this stage for my liking.

Like any sane man I'd like to see something more tangible for my money before I would commit. I'm also expecting a mail shot, having registered an interest on their web site, have I missed that or am I expecting too much.

Also a bit of clarity on what the £2.5k discount to current TVRCC members is, I am a lapsed member after many years subscription and if I thought I ended up paying more than a current member then out of principle I would not proceed. Seems a bit devisive to me, putting current club members ahead of long established owners who do not 'get' the club. I don't think I am alone in that?
I tend to agree on all points. As well as club members they should also include V5 holders.

Lots of 'Grouchos' own TVRs. wink

Much as I would love to put down a deposit, without knowing a firm end price, I don't know if I can afford the end product yet!! There is a lot of difference between 40-50k and 80-100k in terms of a car.

I'm a huge TVR fan and owned a Cerbera for 7 years until recently, but as everyone else has said..... I would want some solid specs and a price before gambling £5k, although if they can deliver those I would be very tempted.......

Over to you TVR!

This is exactly what the problem was with TVR in the first place, half-ar**d press releases without proper facts and figures, I'd love to know who is going to put down a deposit based on the facts? Also, not every TVR enthusiast was or is a member of the club, doesn't mean they don't have the passion and enthusiasm for the brand.

Six months you say... Pity I've only been a member for four...

Anyway - 5K - is that a 10% deposit, a 5% deposit or less ?

If Les needs development money, and wants to sell some shares in the company, I would be interested!
I wish him every success with the project. He is a 'True Brit'!

I would prefer to wait for a proper pre production model at a motor show. Like TVR used to do.

Build it, show it, take deposits, if enough interest: Build it !

Really feel the announcement of deposits should have coincided with at least some firm details of the proposed product, it does indeed seem strange to go about it this way.....hope they are better organized and funded than it seems.

Same here. It appears that registering on the website for updates doesn't do anything.

Don't you just love TVR!

I've had mine (400SE) for 20 yrs and would never sell it.

So pleased of the re-birth.

I wish the company very well.

All the best.
