Why does Porsche not increase the sale price of these limited run models, so it makes the money instead of dealers, owners & speculators?

Surely Porsche could have sold all GT3, GT3 RS and GT4 models for 20 - 40% higher list price from the outset (pure profit). Am I missing something?
Would the higher prices be sustainable long term , with the volume they seek? The market is abnormal right now. They cannot drop list prices so easily.
Part of it as well is as a great piece of marketing. The various iterations of GT3/GT3 RS have long been winning comparison tests, and are very much seen to punch above their weight in terms of value when you look at list prices... Porsche design if exactly like that, because it filters down the the rest of the range. If anything, with the recent competition from Jag, Merc, and to some extent McLaren, the strategy makes even more sense as they want to differentiate their cars.
