Could simply be an much used pro-forma advert where just the details are changed without thoughts about how it reads or logic.
There again, numerous folks who have a sudden and big change in their financial circumstances need to trade down, not up. Roller owner on hard times needs sub £500 transport sharpish and a few thousand quid balance from trading down. Far from unknown.
Back on topic. Almost any type or make of car can be cheap and functional if you search and know where to look and what to look out for.

What are your thoughts on Rovers with the 2.0 litre Diesel engine in? I have found a few Rover 25 Streetwise vehicles with that engine in for not much money. My dad used to run a 620 and a 220 diesel and they were really reliable cars. The Streetwise looks quite different.
I'm wondering if you had any experience of these?
I know that the 75 diesel is sought after because of the BMW engine. Wasn't sure about the others though.
Thanks.
