Power-hungry federalism?
These devices are likely ineffective if you're wearing a tinfoil hat.
We are way beyond a common market now, and endless senior bureaucrats have all made decidedly federalist remarks. Added to these are the constant 'Britain cannot alter/vary/block' comments that you seem to have missed.

Is it all a little too complicated for you sweetheart - perhaps you should wear a tin foil hat?
I don't know anything about all of that. I just like cars and tea and pudding.

Do you think it would be a good thing if someone invented a widget that prevented car thieves from damaging the cars they steal and hurting themselves or other people?

I do and I don't think that's anything like a dystopia.

BTW, I had to look up "dystopian" and I think you're a fud.

I have no idea what a fud is, but I like tea and pudding.

it allready exists, its called a stinger missile.
I'd be impressed if a shoulder launched SAM could get a lock.

However cheaper alternative would just be a well aimed shotgun slug to the engine bay. Maybe we need police cars with RWS.
