Is your one driveable Psycosis? It looks properly low at the back.
It is driveable, but very bouncy at the rear! It has a leak on the hydraulic hoses and one shock absorber is knackered (£1500+ vat from Mercedes, and I'll probably be replacing both!).

Or, I was looking into suspension upgrades if anyone knows of a decent setup for one of these? Something not too low, but just gives it that slightly sportier ride...

There's a video somewhere of an S600 with open headers and it sounds like a frikkin' Zonda biggrin.

Anyway, epic shed! I have a huge softspot for big wafty barges, and this is just the king of the barges!
The V8's and the V12 felt the same off the line to me but the constant and unrelenting acceleration of the V12, and pretty savage kickdown, had it over the V8

This one, taken in Japan possibly - absolutely amazing noise and one of my favorite youtube vids, could listen to that all day long!

Have you noticed that it's a drawing rather than a photograph?

Sounds good, but it's the W220 model, not W140. Also, towards the end, where he is on the windy roads, the car doesn't seem to be moving along that quick, but the sound suggests otherwise?

Epic sound, nonetheless.

Epic car - needs an epic advert LoL! There's little that's mentioned just once, or even twice. The main features (by volume of mentions!) air con, grey unmarked leather interior and sunroof. Followed by S500 V8 fully loaded spec (!), part ex, and loads of bills receipts and MoT etc etc - oh, and a CD player/changer. Magnificent.

Good shed too smile

Am I the only one on PH with my marbles intact today as that looks just plain dodgy... Sure they're lovely cars when they're working, but this one hardly looks like a pristine example and 'I wonder why it was traded in'... Yes I'm sure it's worth the bag of sand being asked, but it's probably not the bargain everyone here's making it out to be. Maybe I'm just being a wuss, but that looks like a potentially risky buy to me. Good shed, but the latter word of that statement probably rings true...

But them again, he who dares Rodder's, he who dares...

I don't see that as a car purchase, I see an ADVENTURE - a potentially costly adventure (at least £995 plus some fuel!!) but who wouldn't want to undertake that (if only I had the money and lived a bit closer!)

All you need is a larger-than-average parking space and a desire to try out what was, at time of manufacture, the best luxury car in the world!!

Imagine how many times you can dine-out on "I bought an S Class one and it threw all it's oil over the M25 crossing at peaktime" or "I bought a Mercedes, the local Police thought I was a drugdealer and shot me dead"

Cmon - live a little ;0

p.s. wheels are entirely awful but something more restrained wouldn't go amiss

I'm glad you mentioned that, it saved us asking the delicate question of the weight of your mother-in-law ;0

I don't think it was a 740.

However he stole a Monaco-registered S600 from the house with the fight scene.
