That is sad news.

He was a hero of mine in my car obsessed youth.

My favourites of his designs are probably the Alfa Giulia Sprint GT (1963), the Mk 1 VW Scirocco and the BMW M1.

He was always immaculately dressed in any photos I saw of him; well cut suits and a tie. He never succumbed to the designer/architect sartorial cliche of dressing in black or wearing an unbuttoned shirt with a jacket, let alone the dreaded black polo neck.

Also designed the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta which has a brilliant looking tyre pattern (if that's possible!) imo

It's Audi (rather than the VAG parent) that's just bought the 10% that Lamborghini (subsidiary of Audi, rather than a discrete part of VAG) didn't buy five years ago.
