So whats in your neighbours stable?
Discussion
One of the immediate 2 had a TVR Tuscan, but she's a loony.
Across the road there used to be a Fezza 458 and a few other bits and bobs but he was some sort of footballist and moved when the team was relegated, haha.
Further down there's quite a few nice ones but they're all hidden behind big gates.
Too many old people who have no car or some battered old supermini.

Absolutely nothing to report with the immediate vicinity, which is a shame because I used to have a fellow PHer who regularly had interesting metal to admire.
If I cast my neighbour net a bit wider (a few hundred yards), there's a bit more to appreciate: e30 in cracking condition, a few nice Nissans, a Boxster.

There's a Boxster 986 across the road and my wife reports that next door has an unfinished Caterham in their garage. Given I'm quite clearly into cars, I'm surprised it has never come up in discussion, so I'll have to inquire about it at some point. Other than those two, there's nothing interesting on my road. If you extend the range to a five minute walk, then you have a Griff, RS5, S4, E46 M3 and an A45 AMG (previously a mk2 Focus RS).
i live in an apartment block, so shared parking. highlights include:
- brabus g63 [absolute beast of a car and a noise to match]
- nice old chap in his 60s with a 993 turbo and a bentley gtc
- one guy i've not met yet with a sharknose 635csi and a merc 560sec
- couple of those rally fighter things [http://localmotors.com/rallyfighter/]
- a lovely RR silver shadow
- chrome orange exige
- series 1 xj v12
- another 560sec with koenig bits on it [looks a dog]
- dark metallic green xj220 which is just gorgeous but i've never seen it move.
plus more ferraris, lambos and porsches than i care to mention.

To be fair, as dull as my suburban cul-de-sac may be for cars, if I draw a half-mile radius around my house it'd pick up a few interesting motors that I see when out and about. Loads of cul-de-sacs, quiet roads and drives with older enthusiasts, I walk the dog round the whole area looking for anything of interest
Three Porsche 928's (all different houses, one's been garaged for years),
996 Turbo (tacky wheels and plate, but looks clean),
2x Series Land Rovers (immaculate),
Mk1 Cortina and Mk1 Fiesta (Cort is deep red, concours, had it for at least 15 years. Fiesta is his lad's first car, de-bumpered, clean),
Mk5 Escort RS2000 (bit rusty, not sure if it's still there),
Mk3 Capri (guy's had loads of these over the years, always stunners. Seems to have a very clean blue Puma too),
Focus RS gen-2 (white, stunning. Again, another Ford fan, he's has Saph Cossies over the years too).
Probably forgetting a few, they're all within walking distance though.

WTF is a Samba? I'm guessing not the Talbot variety? Also, why has he got both bonnets up on the 2 Porsches at the same time?
Samba was the luxury version of the VW bus, with the big sunroof and the little roof windows23 window, like that one, with the curved back corner windows, is the dearest of them all, as he says, worth an easy 100k
one of my old neighbours in my old flat was unbelievable, I shared underground parking with his 911, Austin Healey and a fecking Mercedes 300SL Gullwing
forgot, when I had my slightly sheddy 500SLC, a neighbour had his shiny, fully restored by MB classics (the MB factory people), 450 5.0SLC which he liked parking near mine

As much as I like the VW campers, no chance do I consider them worth anything like that. I guess it's the same for many cult cars though.23 window, like that one, with the curved back corner windows, is the dearest of them all, as he says, worth an easy 100k

victim of their own success, always had a strong cult following in alternative culture being modded, dropping in porsche sixes etc but as with so many things end up so cool that no-one cool can afford one any more!Next door have a Mini Cooper S and a Mini Cooper.
Other side next door have a Mini Cooper and a Mini One.
Directly opposite has a Mini One.
Next door neighbour's sister is over every day - in her Mini One.
My mum babysits every week - in her Mini Cooper.
In summary it's like a Mini dealership where I live!!

not a huge amount interesting, An Impreza WRX across from me. House down the bottom of the road seems to have 2 B5 S4's in Nogaro blue and a Lupo GTi. Occasional TVR T350 seen there.
A few roads over there's a house with a M135i and what seems to be a rotation of relatively interesting cars that change quite regularly, Sierra Cosworth, Escort Cosworth, Focus RS, M3 etc
Pretty dull around here other than that.

There's a couple down the road with a rather heavily modified Viper and a MG SV amongst others. Also a lovely F-Type works nearby. There's an Overfinch Rangie too.
Just discovered the household that have the Viper and MG SV also have a Shelby Daytona! Not seen that one before but it's at a show tomorrow so they were washing it tonight.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
