BMW 1M Coupe, but with the S54 engine, instead of the 3.0 turbo that they fitted. If it had used the S54, I'd probably have bought one.

Alfa 4C with a naturally aspirated V6. OK, I realise it couldn't be called a 4C, but basically I want the same car but sounding as good as it looks.

IS200 with the 1UZ V8, sort of a M3/ C class AMG alternative, sports saloon type deal.
Yeah, but wouldn't you just buy an M3 instead?

Ford last did the 3.0 V6 Mondeo in the Mk3 (the ST220). The Mk4 they did with the inline-5 2.5T and then inline-4 2.0T. Don't know about the 2.0T but the 2.5T will do high 30's on a run... They're pretty rare too.

Anyway, I just wish they'd done a proper ST version of the Mk4 Mondeo, the nearest they got was the aforementioned 2.5T but it would have been nice to have something a bit more special, maybe even an AWD version.

I'd seriously consider a new Mondeo with the (new) Focus RS engine and running gear, the plain 2.0T not so much, it's no quicker than the 2.5T despite more (top end) power, is far slower in the mid-range and only comes as a bloody auto!
Ford did both a 2.0 and a 2.5 V6 Mondeo in 4wd.
Only in the Mk1 and that was ~20 years ago now (did they even do a 2.5 V6 4x4? I thought it was only ever the 2.0i)
I used to work for a company that had a 4wd 2.0 and whilst I was working for them I saw a 2.5 V6 4wd, I was so shocked that one existed I actually asked the owner to confirm what it was.

The 2.0 was a five door and the 2.5 was a four door saloon if that makes any difference?
From a google I think it must have been either a prototype or one off. As far as I can find out they never made any production ones.
Yes, Ford only ever made a production 2.0 4x4 and only for the Mk1, never a 2.5 V6 4x4 in either Mk1 or Mk2.

There was a Mk2 2.5 V6 4x4 for sale on Ebay a couple of years ago but that was a custom build.

Which is exactly what everyone did when they released the ISF :P

There was the E61M5 but that's it.
They made an E46 M3 but only one, its in a collection somewhere, wish they had released it to the public.

I'll second the Rover 75 Coupe, what a great looking motor that would've been.

Probably would have but ive always liked the IS200 as a shape, it just doesnt have enough grunt with that wheezy 6cyl.

Plus they'd probably be a right bargain now going on the values of IS200's. hehe

A GT86 with 250 - 300 bhp. It's been discussed to death but I'd be in one now if they had the straight line poke to match the B road dynamics.

MK3 Golf A59 - A unique 2.0 Turbo, 4wd. It would have changed the hot hacth game in the 90's.

I shan't be writing a letter to them every week until it happens, but I do wish Lexus offered a diesel engine for the IS.

An F-Sport diesel would be a decent Company Car option - the hybrid powertrain is a few years away from being properly viable IMO.

A reasonably priced new Supra, not at Lexus LFA level.

£40-45k, rwd, manual option, approx 1500 kg and 400-450 bhp.

Probably a dream but I'd buy one tomorrow.

The amazing residuals on the last Supra certainly point at a strong market for such a car. In today's world of platform sharing though, could Toyota pull it off? The 370Z only exists because of a versatile platform that Nissan can use for various different sorts of car. Having said that, could Toyota borrow a platform from Lexus?...

(4) The GT4... See - it can happen! Enthusiasts have wanted that car for years and Pork eventually made it.
I gather that it was quite badly spoiled by the super-long gear ratios. What a shame, as a car that should excel on road and track, it would have been nice to have a shorter set of gears. 80mph in second is a bit silly.

I think they should give it a try, there is clearly a market for Jap "muscle cars" which is unfulfilled at the moment.

OK, there's the GTR which is astonishing but it's basically a computer on wheels.

Would be nice to see something a little more visceral.

Loving all the Japanese suggestions;

1. AE86
2. Supra
3. Evo 2-door
4. Proper powered Impreza's
5. NSX
6. Lesser Skylines (GTST's etc)

- definitely more of
7. Manual's
8. Saloon's with V's
