This is its replacement.
In the past, I didn't think we'd even had a sniff of the M5 until the cooking versions were already filling up the roads? Surely the new M5 just be at least two years off unless they're fundamentally changing their development programme?

Typically there has usually been a 5-7 year gap between 5 series/M5 models.

E39 M5 - 1999
E60 M5 - 2005
F10 M5 - 2012

E39 5 series - 1996
E60 5 series - 2003
F10 5 series - 2010

Porsche went awd on their turbo charged GT car in the mid 90's, and those cars had circa 400ps?
Yes 400hp is the absolulute limit for RWD. biggrin
Also Saab once said that 200hp was the limit for FWD cars, so any FWD Car over 200hp is un-driveable. biggrin
