I need to get my Advan RS-D wheels refurbished but I'm struggling to find anywhere able/willing to do them how I want...
They have the "Advan racing" in raised letters in-between the spokes (same as the, RS, RG, RG-D etc) which is sanded/cut back to bare metal after coating. (pics at the bottom)

I want to supply all 4 wheels with tyres fitted, wheels fully stripped and redone in bronze/gold (something close to the volk ce28n colour) then the lettering taken back to bare metal before lacquering .

Has anyone had there Advan's refurbed? If so where?
I've asked loads of places so far including, Lepsons, Spit and polish. Wheelworx, diamond styling, premier wheels etc with no joy, they say they can't (or can't be bothered) to take the lettering back to bare metal

Need some first hand experience please.....

I'm struggling to upload any pics as they're too big, can I not use a photobucket link?

Thanks, Matt

If you've tried Lepsons, I assume you're in the south east? They are usually the go to name in this area.
However, I have heard mention of a place in Meopham called RimTec - no first hand experience, but have heard a couple of good opinions somewhere, so might be worth giving them a ring to see if they can help.

Sorry should have said, yes I'm in East Sussex....but willing to travel

Thanks for the reply, I spoke to Rimtec today and sent some pics via email tonight, so hopefully get a positive response tomorrow.

It's the Advan I was hoping for first hand experience on really.....surely I'm not the first person to get a set redone and want them as per original.
To be honest I can't see it being that hard to do by hand with a bit of fine grit paper on a block, after colour but before lacquer....most places just seem to want to put them on a production line and wait till they come off the other end lol.

Spooner Restorations do loads of Honda cam covers with the lettering sanded back, not sure if they do wheels but worth a shot. Top quality work too!
