I want to buy myself a new car - sporty looks, two plus two seats (proper seats), with performance...!

Lotus Evora and Audio TT seats aren't practical. So far I've test driven the Lexus RCF and the Jaguar HKR. Both fabulous but do I really need a V8 engine and to spend £60-70,000....? I know I'll have to test drive quite a few but don't want to be hassled by salesmen constantly phoning me up...

Intelligent suggestions would be appreciated. What car would you buy and why...?

I'd say a Maserati Granturismo is a good shout loved mine.

I saw a second hand Maserati, eight years old for £39 grand - oh it did look nice... but new they are £90,000. Got the showroom on my list. What are they like for services/repairs?

Servicing went from £400-1200 depending on what had to be done, if you're doing a lot of Town driving then get the 4.7S auto then if you're more A&B Road then the MC Shift is great I put a Larini system on mine which went full Nascar when the sport button was pushed, I never had a problem with mine & will probably buy another.

Maserati MC Stradale (This would be my pick)

V12 Vantage (although I wouldn't buy a car off of Motorhub/Keighly)

Haha thanks for the links - drooling already...! First choice looks fabulous - others are only 2 seaters..... There's hope for me yet then.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.. Servicing is like rolling up £50 notes and burning them

Read through Palmball's threads. He's had various cars of interest. AFAIK he didn't rate his Maserati GT, can't remember why though.

Check to find out if I'm wrong but you can put the rear seats back in the Stradale

If it has to have four seats then take a look at a Mercedes CL63 AMG fast practical they have presence & a bit underrated.

Or if you want to go big:

CL65 AMG

Well Jimboka, I don't have to ask because I can afford it - but I'm a bit more careful with my money and don't like the thought of burning £50 notes. I don't want to buy something where the engine burns out after 30,000 miles or they've fitted the wrong pistons... So I was hoping that people with more experience than me at choosing/buying/driving different vehicles would give me really good advise. Which is what I'm getting smile

Another vote for the Maserati Granturismo. I've had mine since early April (a Sport Auto), and it's lovely. I guess I won't know about servicing costs for another 21 months......

Surprised more people haven't flagged this for trolling before now.
