Hi all
I'm hoping someone can help. My MIL wants to buy a driving experience for my brother in law as a 40th birthday present. He lives in Scotland but is down with them for his birthday. she is ideally looking to book it for the 7th August somewhere around the Guildford area.
Has anyone got any recommendations?

Cheers

Can't be beat in Surrey in my opinion. It's a full (and I mean full) hour behind the wheel going hard. No rev limits or nonsense like that.

Normal AMG one is in a C63 etc and is about £180 which is equally good value.

They do. Not worth a wk IMO. My wife bought me a drive in an Atom or Ferrari etc. I went in an Atom, two laps, third and fourth gear only, wouldn't even let me get the VTEC anywhere near the rev limiter. Don't bother!

Why not hire him a supercar for the day so he can drive it around etc? (unless it's specifically a track day you're after)

If you know Surrey at all you will know it can be one big traffic jam. Its potentially a horrible idea too!

You're only 40 mins from Caterham in Guildford: http://uk.caterhamcars.com/experience/hire

Or 20 odd minutes from Dunsfold there'll be options there I'm sure: http://www.trackdays.co.uk/driving-experience/duns...

You disagree? Do you live here?

It can be insanely busy. Going out for a drive on the weekend even on back roads can simply mean a frustrating queue behind someone. Sometimes the whole place just decends into chaos on a Friday (which the 8th Aug is) due to people somehow forgetting how to drive. I live and work here and drive across it every single day.

Seeing the time ticking away in a rented supercar while you bumble along at 20mph is not my idea of fun.

True, you just need to get up earlier! Mind you, even then you get the cyclists, just needs care all the time
