Was lucky enough to shoot it when they were in London. Had a little ride in it too and it was just perfect. Want one so bad.
Saw those shots on fb. Never wanted a Porsche really until I saw these.

Oh and Rob has an awesome name.

Im not a big fan of Porsche but the work and attention to detail that goes into a Singer 911 is astonishing. I love all the unique little details on each one.

How much are we talking for the yellow one if it went on the open market? Roughly?
The guys were saying there's c.£400K of work on the yellow car plus the £13K donor car. Would probably sell for a lot more...

I'd like to see s Singer 914, a car which is still in the realms of resonable money today.

So half a mil, say - seems like a lot of money for nostalgia's sake.

Having said that, if I had enough disposable folding I'd have an Eagle Speedster (although I'm only 34 so it can't count as nostalgia).

And yet it would still cost the same as the bulk of the cost is for Singer's work. wink

So, £700k for a 911 or save yourself £50k and get a 914?

Truly a work of art. There's only one problem: can't see (m)any being actually used/driven...

I don't think you commission Singer to save moneysmile But a Singer 914 would be rarer as I don't think they've done one, and I think it is a shape that would suit the Singer style massively.

Me.

I hope this isn't read by Rob Dickinson as I know he spent ages (years) achieving his ideal wheel to body relationship but to my eyes the car looks over-wheeled. It's not so much a diameter thing, I just think the car would appear more resolved (and less parts-shop hot-rod special) if the wheels sat ever so slightly further inboard (5mm would probably do it). It's a purely subjective thing, and not something I'll ever be fortunate enough to worry about.

I believe a change of this manner will be a necessity to meet TUV approval anyway, due to wheel coverage legislation between 30 and 50 degrees (from the 12-O'clock)

Everything else is simply perfect though..

If I won the lottery, one of the first thing's I'd do would be to book a trip to Singer. I've had 3.2 Carreras in the past and I love my old 911s but these things are just perfection in my eyes....and the Targa would be the one!

Just lovely.

Incidentally, I read recently that Rob Dickinson was himself once a singer, and has a cousin who still is, bloke by the name of Bruce...

Me too, bit less wheel, bit more tire height, bit less fat boy stance. The rest is perfect.
